Has it actually been confirmed that people are going missing because of magic being brought back? We know Gepetto had a poster of Pinocchio so the missing person board could be a search for characters that were split up during the curse and have not yet been reunited.
No, nothing has been confirmed; it’s pure conjecture at this point, supported by the sign of missing people. It’s mostly based on the fact that Ginny Goodwin and Jennifer Morrison were absent from the outdoor set for the filming of 2×2. We also know from a tweet from Ginny that she was absent and filming special effects with Jennifer Morrison and “getting soaked” in front of a green screen. We don’t know exactly what that means, but we think magic is involved somehow. Since we saw them both in 2×1 filming shots, we think that magic may cause them to disappear for a while by the second episode of S2. It’s been speculated that since Prince Charming was spotted in 2×2 both chasing Jefferson (who had his magic hat) and then coming outside of Mr. Gold’s shop with what appears to be a vial, PC may be using magic to try and get his family back. We also saw PC with Henry for 2×2 filming, so they’ll probably be hanging out a lot trying to save the day.

This is what I’m suspecting, that’s it’s more like a meeting point for people to reconnect with friends and family they got split up from during the curse, as opposed to people having suddenly disappeared from town.

Those pictures are epic of the family meeting again. Awesome. And everyone looks to be there all together. Emma, Henry, Snow, Charming, Red, Granny and the dwarfs. Awesome.
I can see Prince Charming and Henry bonding very well–given the they have had a good collection of photos together, and how they are both similar in bravery and self-sacrifice, there hopefully will be some great moments between the two. And of course I want Emma to bond with her father, though I have a feeling she will be more comfortable with her mother. 😀
Agreed, I’m really excited to see Henry bonding with his bio family! 😀 Will be a big change for him after his only family being Regina for his whole life. She leaves much to be desired in the loving family stakes. Thank God for the Charmings.

I wonder what’s going to happen to Regina especially as we’ve not seen much of her around Stroybrooke. Could her disappearance have anything to do with Rumple’s revenge for what she did to Belle?

Oh, great point! Rumpel is certainly going to have an axe to grind and revenge to plot for what Regina did to Belle. Speculation here: perhaps Rumpel uses magic to banish Regina to another realm, but in an effort to gain clout, Regina ensnares Snow White and Emma using magic and takes them with her to another realm.

That’s a good idea! It could explain why Charming appears to be working with Rumple. He needs to know which realm Rumple sent Regina to. What if Rumple sent Regina to the same realm as her mother (To wonderland if Cora is the QoH) You could then have flashbacks on what happened to Cora as well as the present day situation.
