hmm “They are talking adding both.” it sounds a little bit like they are just adding two minstrels to a scene.
That was my initial thought. Though I’m still on my kick about the flashbacks in 303 possibly being SB ones to Henry’s adoption, and there’d be no need for minstrels if that were the case.
It’s probably the writers just joking in the writer’s room and a play on words with flute and lute.
Jane saying “(F)lute” sorta sounds like they were talking about a flute and someone accidentally said lute and it snowballed into a joke.
The Pan flute stuff makes me think they were probably talking about a PP scene. Lanterns and torches and a flute sorta sounds like setup for a scene in PP’s underground lair. We did see that pic of the big tree prop being transported somewhere the other day.

“This town is bigger than you know” indeed. Unless they are going to play on “affected” to mean that not everyone was ripped to SB, but there’ll be something wrong in those realms so eventually our heroes journey there to do something all macguffiny that we don’t know yet.

I was thinking that how it affected other lands is going to play into why PP wants Henry. What if he saw in a vision that 28 years ago the magic would be ripped from NL and everyone, including himself would begin to slowly age? In order for the magic to return, he must sacrifice the heart of the truest believer, which is Henry.

That’s what I’m thinking. Guess we’ll have to wait to see the spinoff, because isn’t that meant to be set in a “post-curse WL”? I’m assuming NL would have been shielded, because I’m assuming PP knew the Curse was gonna happen.
Maybe that’s why PP needs Shadows: to protect NL from the Dark Curse?
My original theory is that the shadows are what sustain NL’s magic, prevent you from aging and once the Dark Curse hit, that magic was ripped away and everyone began to slowly age. In order to return NL to what it was, PP needs to sacrifice a heart, Henry’s heart.
