Hm, so whoever wrote the book didn’t know the Pinocchio story right? August had to put it in there himself. (Which brings up the question of how he knew it wasn’t in there to begin with.)
The Blue Fairy knew Pinocchio’s story and also that Geppetto lied about the tree only holding one so I don’t think it was her who wrote it. Rumple knows everything so I don’t think it was him either. Honestly, we may not have even met the person who wrote it yet lol.
Speaking of the book though, did Henry have it with him when he went through the portal? If not it’s still in SB. Belle loves books and uses them to solve problems so perhaps she finds something in there that tells her how to protect the town/communicate with NL or EF.

To Blue and Rumple: but because Blue lied about the wardrobe would she have put that story in the book? It was almost like a clean slate for her, she could erase what she did. Or, maybe PP ordered her not to if she is in fact working with PP.

Henry didn’t have his bag when they kidnapped him. They cut it from him. Emma picked it up in the mine so we can probably safely assume that he won’t be pulling out the book for Peter Pan.
I also didn’t see Emma or anyone else with the bag after they found it, but that doesn’t mean in their running around, Snow didn’t stuff it in her backpack that she had on before they found Henry’s bag on the mine tracks.

Emma picks it up in the mine when they notice he’s missing, but then she doesn’t have it when the 4 of them are running towards the docks. So if the book was in the backpack, it should still be in SB.
ETA: Snap, Josephine, we posted the same thing at the same time. LOL

I think she would have, I mean she’s the one who told Pinocchio to always be honest. But then again she did keep the secret for Geppetto….I guess it depends on how dishonest you think the BF truly is lol.
I think I just like the idea of it not being someone obvious like the BF or Rumple.
Btw, outlandish thought, but did Tinkerbell age in NL? No, right? What if Tinkerbell turned out to be Belle’s mother or something lol. We don’t know what the heck happened to her. That would be a very surprising connection. Although Idk what the rules are for fairies and regular people – Grumpy and Nova couldn’t be together. And we don’t know how long Tinkerbell has been in NL on the show.

Sneaky Fairy is Sneaky and that’s all I have to say on that topic. 😉

But is it obvious to us, people who spend waaaaaaay too much time on these forums discussing every possible solution and answer, but not obvious to casual viewers.

This theory actually has legs and has been talked about at length over in the casting announcement for Tink.

Just because Pinocchio’s story wasn’t already in there, that doesn’t mean that whoever wrote it didn’t know the story. If someone knew all the other stuff, then they’d know Pinocchio’s story too. So why would they want Pinocchio’s story untold? If Pinocchio’s story involved going to NL as his Pleasure Island, and if there were certain truths about NL that PP didn’t want Henry discovering, then it would make sense for him to have left Pinocchio’s story out if he wrote Henry’s book. But perhaps August thought it was information that Henry (and the rest of SB) ought to have, so he went right ahead and added it in at a time when PP couldn’t know that it had been done. Sneaky August is Sneaky?
Now, going back to Belle potentially getting hold of the book, and we know that the kid who plays Pinocchio has been hanging around set too. Maybe August wrote some clues into his story. Maybe if Belle meets Pinocchio in SB, she’ll be inspired to read his story in the book, pick up on clues that were left by August, and figure out what’s going on in NL.
Perhaps?

I guess I’m just not sold on the idea that PP is involved with the book – I feel like that reveal would be left for later, not season 3. Unless I missed A and E saying it would be revealed this season? I don’t think EVERYONE is working for PP, just GOAT.
It’ll be interesting to see if Belle actually gets the book and what happens from that.
