Vancity Filming kind of admitted fault. It happened right after they posted new photos of Colin online, and after a lot of tumblr users flooded the website (to Vancity, reblogging, reposting the pictures to their own sites, etc) and I guess, it must have crashed the server.

I have steered many people to OUAT and they have found it easy to catch up using Netflix for season 1. (which is what I did). Because I am obsessive, I ordered Season 2 on iTunes. But I think you can also watch it on Hulu. Hulu seems to delete episodes quickly, so I’m not sure if the whole season is still there.
I believe you can on HuluPlus (Hulu’s version of Netflix) but with regular Hulu it’s only the latest 4 or 5 episodes.

I’m sorry but I still don’t believe that. As much as I know there are a lot of Hook fans, I do not, for a second, think, that they would be able to even remotely sabotage the vast space that tumblr is. The site is supposedly visited by 49 million people/month. And there are millions of tumblr sites that are not, surprisingly, devoted to anything even remotely related to OUaT and, in proportion to them, Collin’s fanbase fades into next to nothing. (but I do understand what you are saying! When Lana Parrilla’s last, nearly naked, photo session was released, there was an Armageddon all over the place…)
Everyone now will be claiming that it must be them who caused tumblr to crash, yet, I don’t think neither of the statements are true (for example, some other people say it must have been because of the death of Richard Griffiths on that day etc — and he is a MUCH MUCH greater actor than Colin! or because of the so long awaited Game of Thrones season 3 premiere, which, btw, broke many records itself)(Not to mention that for such a vast space, tumblr surely has more than just one server!)

Just search twitter results for “vancityfilming” and “tumblr” for March 29th. What you’ll find in conversation will speak for itself.
It may happen again, or it may not. I guess it just depends on what gets put online.
I know it seems a little unbelievable (personally, I find it hilarious), but this event is recorded and doesn’t have to be defended. Too, I don’t feed antagonization, so I’m not going to say anything else about it.
If we’re going into the world of statistics, yes, the numbers speak for themselves.
Simply using google trends shows the story – While searches for Colin or vancity filming are definitely decreasing and have hardly been in their 50s in the past few months, for example Game of Thrones is rapidly trending and as well as Richard Griffiths, both have reached 100s in the last few days.
And a quick look at tumblr itself shows clearly how the site has been progressively growing, reaching it’s peek 100 in the last month, no more no less, which was obviously the root of the problem in the first place.
So while yes, certain events might have helped the crash, I don’t believe there could be just a single one being blamed for it.
