EPISODE 3!
So many surprises here, that I did not see coming. I did not see a Daisy & Lincoln romance, I REALLY did not see Coulson betraying Lincoln, and … Simmons wants to go back?!? 😮
About the only thing I did expect was May wiping the floor with those three creeps, LOL! (And satisfying it was, too! 😉 )
I think Coulson has made a serious error in betraying Lincoln. His being protective of Daisy has gotten a little too personal, and I think it has clouded his judgment. But this is an irreversible mistake. There was a very small window to earn Lincoln’s trust, and now he will never EVER trust shield again.
And for what? (Apologies, but I now have to rant at Coulson. 😉 ). What did it get you? You alienated a potential ally, in return for Rosalyn’s word that she would leave daisy alone? She was obviously never going to honor that! Blackmail is an ongoing thing. You think giving her one inhuman now will make her stand down forever? Even if she backed down temporarily, once she had Lincoln what was to stop her from changing her mind later once she wants something else? She still had the picture of Daisy. That deal was never going to be worth it. *end rant*
Sorry, but if Coulson was going to offer to work with the ATCU, he should have just done that in the first place. I’m sure nothing good will come of that arrangement, but he could have done that without also destroying Lincoln’s last chance of ever trusting a human being.
ANYWAY. 😛 Loved Daisy and Mack playing the video game at the end. 🙂

October 14, 2015 at 7:58 pm #309953Sci-Fi GirlParticipantOh! I can’t believe I almost forgot! I laughed so hard at Rosalind’s “Hey, eyes up here” line … because Coulson was staring at her CAR!!! 😆 😆 😆
Ha, Coulson and his car fetish!
Coulson: What’s her name?
Rosalind: It’s a car. It doesn’t have a name.
…
Rosalind: And it’s a he.😛

October 16, 2015 at 11:15 am #310069torrieParticipantHey all! So this episode a lot of hype leading up to it. It was supposed to be the ‘biggest’ episode they’d ever done. Though the episode did have some incredible special effects (the scene with the sparks from the telephone poles raining down at the beginning of the episode was beautiful!), I was a tiny bit underwhelmed.
First of all, I’m not onboard the Daisy/Lincoln ship, but their kiss was very sweet. Poor Mack having to listen in haha. I haven’t really shipped Daisy with anyone except Ward, and because Ward is an evil psychopath that didn’t work out too well. I think Daisy is stronger on her own…she’s kinda like Elsa, IMO.
I’m definitely a fan of May and Hunter working together…they’re a pretty solid team. I’m worried about Hunter though…he killed his friend just to get into Hydra. May even looked a little concerned.
Speaking of May though…did Andrew break up with her? I’m hoping we get a flashback or something! Andrew doesn’t seem like the type to walk out over nothing, so I wonder what happened. I’m a hardcore Philinda shipper, so I have a head-canon that Andrew thinks May has feelings for Coulson, so he broke up with her to get her to realize she love Phil. Probably not what happened, but until we find out, that’s what I’m going with!
Speaking of Coulson…he is getting far too friendly with Rosalind. I have to admit, her car is beautiful. And those hand puns were pretty funny…I can almost picture Brett writing that scene, lol.
But Coulson, oh Coulson, what were you thinking about giving up Lincoln?!? He is far too attached to Daisy…he needs May to reign him in and make him think logically.
And finally FITZSIMMONS. How adorable are these two? Their date was very sweet…Fitz was so gentle with Simmons throughout the episode. But why does Simmons want to go back?? After all the team went through to save her, why?
Anywhoo, let’s hear some other thoughts, ya’ll! Or is it just SFG and I who use this thread 😉 😛
October 17, 2015 at 11:05 am #310121Sci-Fi GirlParticipantYeah, it is just us?!?
And oh yeah, the hand puns. 😛 “Disarmed” “Up your sleeve” “Hand it to you”. 🙄
And about May and Andrew. From what we have seen I had thought that May left emotionally (she closed off), but not physically? And maybe he left because of that? I know he’s a shrink but he can’t force her to heal if she doesn’t want to.

Unfinished business seems like the most likely guess, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Yeah where are all the other SHIELD fans?!? Matt, DO, and I know we have others too, where are you???

October 20, 2015 at 12:18 pm #310420Sci-Fi GirlParticipantOne more thought about last week, and then yippee for tonight!
I noticed something else in this episode. There was an interesting recurring theme, of battle scars. Everyone on the team has them, everyone, and each one was shown or mentioned in this episode. Some are physical, some are emotional, and some are psychological. We are reminded of just how much this team has been through, and each and every one of them has been changed by it in so many ways.
There is Coulson’s hand, and Bobby’s knee. There is Simmons trauma, and May’s. While Fitz was deciding how best to help Simmons, he drew inspiration from the patience of his friends during his long recovery last year. And the rest are dealing with trust issues, and betrayal.
But the focus is not on how much they are hurt, but rather on how they cope, and learn, and have all become stronger. They are all a little more cynical, a little less innocent, and a little wiser. The world is a harsh place, and it has shaped and reshaped everyone on this show.
SFG 🙂

November 3, 2015 at 8:50 am #311620Sci-Fi GirlParticipantSo I’ve got an interesting theory.
This being that lives in a sandstorm, I think it generates a sandstorm around itself. The astronauts called it “death”, and think that it once destroyed all life on that planet.
It is clearly not a coincidence that Fitz’s ancient scroll said the exact same thing: “death”! I think the maker of that scroll knew exactly what was on the other side of the monolith. 😮
Here’s my theory: long ago, this being came to that planet and started devouring all life. Someone found / developed a way to escape … to earth. Somehow they created that monolith, either in getting here or after. But they knew that if that being didn’t get fed, it would come looking for more food … and Earth would be the next planet consumed! * 😮
So they set up a system where people would be periodically “sacrificed” by sending them through the monolith. They entrusted a secret few with this information, who would pass the tradition down though the ages. And they did, people have been sent there all through history, even since biblical times judging by the Hebrew scroll! And maybe even before that, who knows?
And however NASA got hold of it, someone there was in the know, and made sure to feed four astronauts to it!!! 😮
A slight variation of this theory is that the monolith was used to banish that being in the first place, by sending it there from Earth. But that doesn’t explain how it got here in the first place, or who made the monolith. So I’m less clear on this version of the theory.
Anyway, I don’t know how any of this relates to inhumans, or what aliens were involved in the history. Was it the Kree, or someone else?!?
SFG
* Oh, I just reminded myself of Doctor Who’s “Planet of the Dead”! 😆

May 11, 2016 at 1:13 pm #323444torrieParticipantHey AoSers! Resurrecting this thread because I had a lot of thoughts about last night’s episode, and I’m definitely going need to rant after next week’s finale.
First of all, yay for the Civil War connections! Of course Coulson is on Team Cap. But RIP Peggy, the MCU will miss you
I loved how maternal May was with Lincoln. “Eat something”…Momma May is canon, guys.
Ward was beyond creepy this episode. First of all, he tells Daisy that those Watchdogs/Inhumans are their children. Then he decides he’s going to kill Daisy so he can make more of them #happymothersday
I loved all of Yo-yo’s scenes…she’s an awesome character. Her and Mack are beyond adorable. *cue feeling of dread when she hands him the necklace* Someone on twitter posted that the finale is just going to be a two-hour game of hot potato with the necklace…world’s deadliest game of hot potato for sure.
I loved the twist with sending Lash instead of Lincoln. Though once again, May has to make the hard call. Her face as she was kneeling over Lash’s body was heartbreaking 🙁 As was the scene when Lash saves Daisy.
Props to the writers for doing a great job with Lash’s character. Someone pointed out that earlier in the season, Lash kept saying “I’m the cure” and everyone else was just like yeah, right. Turns out that he really was the cure. #foreshadowing #continuity
My top 3 predictions for the fallen agent are Lincoln, May, or Mack (not necessarily in that order)
Thoughts?
May 13, 2016 at 2:03 am #323594kranenParticipantSo the ‘Most Wanted’ spin-off got passed on by ABC. Whether or not this means that Bobbi & Hunter will be returning to Agents Of SHIELD next season remains to be seen.
August 14, 2016 at 9:35 am #326571kranenParticipantI just realized that no DVD / Blu-ray release has been announced for Season 3 yet. That’s a bit of a worry considering that pretty much all of ABC’s shows are being released over the next few weeks… Hopefully they don’t go all Wonderland on us and not release it!
