Aladdin?

Does anyone know if other characters from Aladdin have been mentioned by the writers? I was just trying to think of who Bae could be that we haven’t mentioned yet and I Aladdin came to mind. Same skin tone kind of, and the episode “The Return” made me think of Return of Jafar… Also, Gold has now been seen with both a black lamp and a gold lamp. And if the stranger turns out to be Bae, maybe the motorcycle is his “magic carpet”. Maybe after Bae ran away he became a “street rat”. I’ll take it even further and say maybe Rumpel, the Dark One, is Jafar as well and if you’ve seen the promo for the next episode you might be able to connect more dots (I didn’t want to say anything because I’m on my phone and I don’t know how to do spoilers). Just another idea..

We have heard references to Agrabah where Aladdin lives- the genie who becomes the slave in the mirror and then Sydney in Storybrooke is from Agrabah, but we haven’t seen any of the other characters yet.

I wonder how the Aladdin story will play out on the show whenever we see it. Obviously it didn’t end like the Disney version, because Genie was still in the lamp when we met him.

I bet Aladdin is an a** … 😆 Or something happened to him, if he didn’t let the Genie out. Then again, I still have to read the original story. Which incidentaly is set in China, even though it’s a story from One Thousand and One Nights … They could tie it up with Mulan. 😀

Anyway, it’s an interesting idea!
