Here are the differences that I mentioned in the above post. Things change in Snow Drifts before Emma ever breaks the stick. Here is a screenshot of the carriage seat on Snow Falls. It is wrinkled and faded. The insert is the seat on Snow Drifts. The seat is new and smooth. The pouch is also set down in a different spot. Both of these shots occurred at the same time in the dialogue and they both were right after David placed the couch on the cushion to get out and check to see what was going on.
There was not a reason to shoot this portion again.

See the pictures for differences. Again, these are shots that did not need to be taken again. They could have used the exact same footage. They didn’t and I am sure it was for a reason. Something has changed.

In Snow Falls their capes are very long. In Snow Drifts their capes are much shorter. Both of these shots are before Snow breaks the branch. Something has changed. No one makes this many errors on footage that they could have reused. Different placement of pouch, different seat covering, different position of guards and beard, and different cape length. Something has happened before Snow broke the branch. If these things could have changed so drastically then it is possible Alice was in the bar…or someone using a glamour spell to look like Alice. Sophie Lowe being in the background may be a coincidence… but with all the other changes it a possibility.

March 18, 2015 at 6:09 pm #299059JosephineParticipantKranen, you gave me my laugh for the day.
I give you props for sticking with your theory, but to play devil’s advocate you’re putting a lot of foresight and faith in the writers’ abilities. Something a lot of us have lost in the past year. If this were a J.K. Rowling novel I’d say yes, definitely it all ties in, but this is a tv series and the showrunners aren’t really that intelligent or even care about their story to tie everything together that far into the future. These are guys who said “no time travel” yet we had time traveling. Supposedly “dead is dead” unless you’re magical, or it isn’t your time, or …. I really can’t see them planting someone in a random background to use a year and a half to two years later.
I like your tenacity, though. 😉

Thanks Josephine…Kranen gave me a laugh too and I think the head banging Squidward was very appropriate seeing that we have Ursela’s backstory coming up.
I understand that many people are frustrated and feel that the writers are just throwing spitballs up against the wall to see what sticks but, I do believe that they have had an arc planned from the beginning. I haven’t done a post on why I believe there are embedded clues…just haven’t had time but I will try to do it later tonight. I’m getting ready to grill fajitas right now. There is something that points very specifically to embedded clues and hopefully I will be able to get to it tonight. Thanks for the response…and here’s hoping the writers surprise everyone. ~ NealfanForever

February 25, 2016 at 7:58 pm #317700nealfanforeverParticipantI think a lot of threads are going to come together in the second half of season five…not just in the Underworld…but in flashbacks. I’m really looking forward to it!

February 26, 2016 at 2:19 am #317720kranenParticipantWhy the actual hell was this ridiculous thread bumped again? It’s literally one of the dumbest things ever posted on the forum.
February 26, 2016 at 7:38 am #317724RumplesGirlKeymaster[mod] Everyone play nice. Please do disrespect anyone’s forum ideas, threads, and so forth. But also, please do not bump very old threads simply to bump them, especially when they have nothing to do with the current arc, story and your post has nothing to do with the thread itself [/mod]

Jane Espenson recently replied to another one of my tweets regarding characters that appear in the background scenes. When we look back over the past years of which tweets she either retweets or replies to there is an observable pattern that she was giving clues. Because of her answer to rebumping this topic I revisited the thread. None of us knows what previous threads are all going to come together to create the ultimate tapestry. One can look back over previous seasons and see obvious clues that ended up working into the story. These older threads are valuable.
In the past few weeks, Jane has responded to three or four of my tweets (all different topics). In April of 2014 I tweeted Jane about the movie The Odd Life of Timothy Green…and explored the topic of someone possibly imprisoned in a tree. In the first half of season 5 we met Merlin, who was…wait for it…imprisoned in a tree. I’ve written about Regina being Snow White…and we saw Regina in the Snow White heroine while Snow was the new Evil Queen. I could give many more examples and all were scoffed at. I am ok with scoffing. It doesn’t bother me. These threads are for discussing the show. Many, many clues are embedded. When they resurface it makes sense to revisit the threads.

March 2, 2016 at 6:52 pm #317854RumplesGirlKeymasterMerlin was imprisoned in a tree in mytholgoy; that’s standard Arthurian legend.
I’m not saying that you can’t bump an old thread. But your initial post has nothing to do with the topic at hand.
It was just you saying you were exited about something. It had nothing to do with Alice or Skin Deep nor did you post any tweets from Jane Epperson as an update to your theories. You also proceeded to do it with several of your other threads, long buried. It clogs up the board when we have stuff that is more current, relevant. Please be mindful of this going forward.
