So far I’m a wee bit confused on Timeline (shock). Here’s what we know
–YoungAlice (age 8-10) goes to WL like in the book. She comes home some time later and her parents thought her dead because of how long she was gone.
–Alice (age 18-20) goes back to WL to find proof that she’s not insane
–Alice (after loosing Cyrus) gets locked up.
It’s the middle part that’s confusing me. How did she get back to WL the second time. And how did she get home? And what happened in between ages 10-18/20? Was she in the asylum then too? Or did she try to convince her parents for 10 years that she wasn’t crazy? Was it only after she came back the second time that her parents put her in the asylum?

I also think they need to emphasize to non-crazed people that London is not real London. It made it seem like the Knave time traveled out of Storybrooke into Victorian England and then into Wonderland.

October 10, 2013 at 11:17 pm #215082RumplesGirlKeymasterAnother Tword issue I’m going to put here.
The more I think about it, the more the SB scene with the Knave and the Rabbit makes no sense. This is supposed to be the order of events
–Emma breaks the Curse
–Rumple summons the Wraith
–The Wraith begins to destroy SB
–Grumpy and Ashley close up Granny’s while Emma and Snowing and Regina are trying to stop the Wraith
–The Knave breaks into Granny’s and the Rabbit appears, blowing a hole in the floor of Granny’s.
–The Knave and the Rabbit then leave Granny’s partly destroyed while at the same time Snow and Emma go through Jefferson’s hat to the EF
–The NEXT MORNING (aka: We Are Both) people try to leave SB but David stops them and tells them to return to their lives
–We see a shot of Ruby opening Granny’s.
How can Ruby open Granny’s if there is a giant gaping hole in the floor? Did they fix it with magic (and if yes, who did the magicking? Regina wasn’t playing nice yet and Rumple….lol).

The hole needs to close back up after they go through it because otherwise it would be an open doorway between worlds. So the rabbit’s magic that opened the hole also closes it back up after they’re through the portal.

While that explanation works for me, having just rewatched I’m not convinced. The vortex the rabbit opens out of fictional London probably closes back up and I’ll accept that. But the hole that opens in Granny’s literally EXPLODES, just like the hole that opens in the first shot of the show when Alice comes back to London as a little girl. Different portals it looks like.

Some have magic, some not and some need magic. Maybe the England where Alice come from is not our land without magic, but also cause the Rabbit is so with times. He is maybe able to create a portal with another timing. We saw that once too with Jefferson had, who brough the apple back oltough it was already to a time that lied in the past.
So theire are some explination for the time line, but I would love to see Bae in England at the time from Alice. 😉
Some other question that popped in my mind today. Could it be that Alice has the “Ruby Slippers”. I mean she has shoes with Rubys, who are powerful and she travels the world. What do you think about that crazy thought of mine?
So when you think that the “Slippers” are from Alice, then she was during the time when Regina has her lesson in magic by Rumple already back in England, maybe in the asylum. That would only go when Alice England got to be in an another land without magic. The shoes from Alice could help Rumple to find his son with the three wishes that was in the shoes, but otherwise, wishes has to be granted and not stealed, but for this rule, Rumple as the DarkOne could make a way around that, cause not he was stealing it but Jefferson.
Something else, could it be that the curse affect all of them so that they were thinking that 28 years were gone but in reality much longer. A curse that Regina makes could have take a while to create everything, to adjust in the new world, so that maybe during these travel from all the magical lands to the non magical world take also some years, but nobody is really aware of it.

The original 20 min presentation very clearly began during that, but not the aired episode. Personally, I’d rather believe it beings right before “Second Star to the Right”, if only because it keeps the show’s timeline more synchronized with the parent one.
October 11, 2013 at 8:32 am #215119PriceofMagicParticipantI think the doctor said that Alice kept disappearing and her father only put her in the asylum because he was at his wits end. Ruby did put out a closed sign for Granny at one point.
My question is, how did Alice not age for 28 years? We know Jefferson was taken by the curse and the curse lasted 28 years hence why the hatter hadn’t been seen for “some time”. The knave was in Storybrooke and since this takes place during Broken, the Knave would have had to have been in Storybrooke for the duration of the curse- 28 years. Since Alice knew where the hatter lived, she must have met him before the curse was cast.
All magic comes with a price!

Given the fact that we see Emma’s bug almost run over the Knave, yes, I think this is still Broken.

Yes the Doctor did say that. She’s had multiple disappearances. Before the Asylum, she was apparently gone for a year (I assume this is the time with Cyrus)

yeah, I’m confused. She left FictionalLondon probably right at the time Emma arrives in SB. She and Cyrus then traveled for the year—season 1 of ONCE. My conclusion is that YoungAlice came back from WL AFTER Regina cast the curse. Meaning the Curse didn’t affect WL.
