Tonight we learned that Lady Tremaine’s other daughter, Anastasia, died when she was 14 and somehow Ella blames herself. What do you think happened? Is Ella really to blame or is it something more complicated? How does this muddle the relationship between Tremaine, Ella, and Drizella?

It’s YoungSnow and Regina and Daniel all over again. *YAWN*

I’m sure it’ll end up being some convoluted thing where Ella had the blame lumped on her even though she didn’t actually kill her. No way are they gonna have Henry’s true love be a child killer.

It’s clear the writers really like the significance Anastasia’s name, which means resurrection. Yet, I’d say it’s unoriginal at this stage. We had Anastasia being resurrected in OUAT in WL. Now they’re doing the same thing with Anastasia 2.0 only mixing it with Regina and Snow’s story about Daniel’s murder at the hands of Cora. All I can say is that I hope the reason Victoria blames Jacinda isn’t because of the same dumb reason that Regina held Snow morally accountable for Daniel’s death. I always hated how Regina misplaced the blame of Daniel’s death on Snow White, who was just a little girl, when Regina should have placed the true blame on her mother, Cora.

I’m sure it was an accident.  I doubt they’d make Ella and actual killer, especially since she couldn’t kill the prince and she truly hated him.

Right now, with no information, i am going with Drizella killed Anastasia accidentally because Anastasia was the favorite daughter and Drizella was not. If Drizella is the LGBT character, which seems possible, then maybe it will have something to do with that and Anastasia finding that out. Tremaine knows and that explains the strain between her and Drizella, but Tremaine publicly blamed Ella to keep her in check and to protect Drizella because she was her only remaining daughter. She, also, uses this information to keep Drizella in check and to get her to marry the man she wants her to marry, aka the second prince who is now the first in line to the throne after the prince who was killed died in the last episode.

I agree though that Anastasia will be brought back somehow, but i think she might come back wrong or die quickly after.

Considering what both Adelaide and Gabrielle said in that EW article, I could believe that Drizella’s responsible in some way for her death. Adelaide does imply that at the time of that interview she didn’t actually know all the specifics, but both actresses seemed to be on the same wavelength of Anastasia having been the favoured daughter in a major way.

I think the theory that Drizilla is somehow responsible for her sister’s death is probably right. Lady Tremaine misplacing the blame for Anastasia’s death onto Cinderella would parallel Regina misplacing the blame for Daniel’s death onto Snow White. The real culprit for Daniel’s death was Cora, so it would make a ton of sense if the real culprit for Anastasia’s death were someone else like Drizilla, who might have always been jealous of her sister.

I guess it wouldn’t be necessary for Tremaine to know that Drizella killed Anastasia for this to still work.
