Copying over the calculations I did just after 504 in the Favorite Moments thread. But it definitely tracks (and confirms that my timeline is pretty close to accurate…as well as that A&E and team take great liberties with how time works).

Okay, some relevant dates as I haven’t really started timelining S5 yet (and please keep in mind that ALL my dates are estimates with a few exceptions):

6/18/2013: Emma becomes The Dark One.
6/7/2013: Gold’s return to Storybrooke (start of QoD arc)
4/18/2013: Belle banishes Rumple (end of Frozen arc)
4/6/2013: Emma, Hook, and “Marian”/Zelena return from the past. (End of S3/Zelena arc)
3/26/2013: Hook finds Emma in New York (end of the Missing Year)
4/1/2012: Belle & Neal visit the Dark One Vault. (In the missing year, early on)
3/26/2012: Regina undoes the curse and the missing year starts.
3/19/2012: Jolly Roger goes to Neverland to rescue Henry (end of S2)
2/23/2012: Emma breaks The Curse. (End of S1)
10/23/2011: Emma decides to stay in Storybrooke (start of S1) and time begins moving again in all the affected magical realms.
10/22/1983: Emma’s birth/The curse is enacted. Time is frozen in all the magical realms.
1/21/1983: Snow and Charming’s public wedding.
4/11/1982: Snow and Charming’s private wedding, officiated by Lancelot.
4/30/1981: Belle leaves the Dark Castle.
2/1/1981: Rumple shows Belle the gauntlet he just took from Camelot.
12/31/1980: Roland born. (I have Marian saved about a week before this.)
12/19/1980: Belle goes to the Dark Castle.

So, if my date for the gauntlet is close: 2/1/1981 puts it 34 months before the curse. Since time began moving again, I have it at about 21 months now, give or take. (22 if you go to the six weeks, but that’s not when the show claimed 5 years). 55 months comes out to 4.58 years. It’s…fudging a bit, but I’ll give them 5. PLUS 28.

Ooooh. I don’t agree. They’ve said that the first season is close to a year; if she arrives in October (agree) then close to a year is not February. It’s not really May either, but it’s a lot closer. Not to mention all the clothing cues in that episode.

I know what they’ve said, but after Skin Deep (which is set on Feb 14, 2012–one of few very specific dates we actually have) S1 starts moving at a really fast pace. I had initially tried to stretch it out, but the internal clues for the episodes after Skin Deep really do pretty much say things happen day-by-day (or less–Hat Trick only gets a few hours for the whole episode based on the premise of when Mary Margaret escaped and when she was going to be in serious trouble for it). There aren’t a whole lot of places to pad it in the second half of the season–I could add a few weeks around 113, but not six months. And once Kathryn tries to leave Storybrooke, the pace just goes zoom.

So I’ve been wondering where to pose this question. Since it has to do with the timeline, I’ll pose it here. Is it possible that King Arthur could have been the corrupt king whom Hook sought to depose after Liam died via the dreamshade poison in Neverland? Upon first consideration, that may seem impossible (since Hook is over 200-years-old). However, might it be that Camelot exists in some sort of “timeless” dimension similar to Neverland?

Doubt it, when Hook and Arthur don’t give any indication that they recognize each other. Not to mention, wouldn’t Hook have warned them not to trust Arthur? Plus, it’s been made pretty clearly that Camelot really is in the same realm as the Enchanted Forest. It’s literally just a horse ride away. Also, again the “5 years” thing.

Yeah, I don’t see it, though there could be a link between that king and Merlin. That would be an interesting twist.
