Anna and Charming met in the EF!
What did you think of this friendship?
What did you think of Charming’s story about his father being an alcoholic who died in a drunk driving accident?
Do you think charming and Anna ever met again?

I’m not even sure how to describe it. And I really didn’t like the back story for his father. That felt like the writers stuck it in the episode because fans keep asking and they had no other story planned for Charming’s father. I’m also a bit sick of everyone needing to have one less than stellar parent.
How does Charming knows Kristoff?

At this point based on the character ages in Frozen and the timeline there Anna is about 20 at this point, so how long was there before the curse?
Also Anna is the master swordwoman whom introduced David to dueling what is there not to love.

But something about the flashbacks, I just dunno. Maybe it’s because I’m so used to seeing Josh playing Charming as older and braver, and Elizabeth’s just so young and fresh and I don’t have that older association with her character, so seeing her be the older, wiser, braver one in that relationship, the balance was just off and I found it hard to buy that version of David. Or something like that?
The story about his dad left me cold. It felt like, “Meh we don’t have a story for him, and we need a sob story for David, so we’ll just have him be already dead so we never have to deal with him, two birds, one stone.”

I found Anna to be a bit annoying this episode and I think that’s because they made her come across as a little Mary-Sueish. Mainly it was the whole sword fighting scenes. Unless Anna has actually practiced sword fighting, there’s no way she could’ve picked it up that well just watching her family’s soldiers. That’s like saying someone who has watched lots of fantasy movies and sword and sandal epics is really good at sword fighting.
I don’t like how they’re suggesting that Charming is only the way he is now because he met Anna.
I liked the Charming/Kristoff friendship. I could see Charming wanting to protect Anna because she was his friend’s fiancée but to make it seem like Charming was a wimp until Anna helped him to see the light is a bit much IMO.
Charming’s story about his father just seemed a bit off in general especially the part about how his parents fought all the time. I was under the impression in The Shepherd that Charming’s parents had a happy marriage and it was the secret of giving up James that drove the father to an early grave, not that he was an alcoholic.

Well, losing James might have been the cause of their father’s alcoholism.

True but the shepherd seem to imply that Ruth and Charming’s father had a reasonably happy marriage until his death.

I have to agree. Charming’s story about his father in 402 didn’t quite seem on par with what we were led to believe in The Shepherd.

Is Kristoff really from Arendale or was his family from the EF? ‘Cause it seems like not many people cross from Arendale to the Enchanted Forest, or vise versa. Kristoff was an orphan so it makes sense that he grew up moving around a lot.
