Who do you think this other guest-star could be? I think it’s Maleficent, whom we’ve only seen once in FTL, who’ll actually appear in SB! The last time we saw her, there was a serious show-down between her and Regina. If it’s not Maleficent, it could be Cora or the Queen of Hearts. In the cast for the last epsiodes the actress of Maleficent was mentioned, wasn’t she? That seems to be the best option. The other two would be also interesting. Still, I think it’ll be Maleficent, especially considering the “serious show-down”. Wonder what role she has in Storybrooke. o.Ô Maybe she’s the principal of Henry’s school, lol!
I agree that the likeliest candidate is Maleficent, since the actress who plays her is listed in the credits for the season finale. Also, Maleficient has unfinished business with Regina, since she tried to dissuade Regina from enacting the dark curse in the first place. Another major show-down would be awesome.

Could it also be Regina’s mother? I thought she was supposse to be part of an arc? Who else have we not seen in StoryBrook yet? The Red Queen would be really cool. They are brining in Jefferson, maybe they will make a connection there somehow.
I think they’ve said Barbara Hershey will be back in season 2, not before.
This spoiler has gotta be about Maleficent. Can’t wait to find out who she is in Storybrooke. Wonder if she’s locked up with Belle? Last time Regina saw Maleficent in FTL, she’d been trying to convince her to behave and was trying to keep the curse from her. I could see Regina locking her up for that. Much safer than having her running around town, potentially causing trouble. We know we’ll be seeing Belle again, so it’s safe to say we’ll be going back to more scenes in those cells.
Or maybe she lives on the outskirts of town and runs a miniature pony farm. 😉
They haven’t released a press release with the cast for the finale yet, but we know that Maleficent is supposed to be in an episode before the end of the season and she isn’t in the cast list for Ep 21 so she has to be in Ep 22 then. A miniature pony farm. Sounds good.
I agree that Maleficent sounds like the obvious candidate. But her Storybrooke counterpart? The doctor/administrator taking care of Belle (in the asylum)? Or in the hospital itself. How about a homeless woman? But wouldn’t it be great if she remembers! All the evil people remember.
I think it likely that Maleficent, who is also a powerful sorceress, could have preserved her own memories from the dark curse. Since she was never in favor or Regina enacting it in the first place, I would love to see Malefient’s SB counterpart take on Regina and help Emma in some way. It would be very interesting for Maleficent’s SB self to tip off Emma about how to break the sleeping curse, since Maleficent is the one who created it in the first place to use against Sleeping Beauty. She’d certainly know how to break her own curse.

I’m pretty sure it’s Malificent. AWESOME!!!
I wonder what she’s been up to? My personal theory is that she’s been locked in the mental asylum along with Belle and possibly others. But given the fact that Malificent is also a very powerful sorceress, it’s really anybody’s guess. I wouldn’t be surprised is she’s actually the nurse and she’s been shapeshipting the whole time. 😆
From the extended preview it looks like Emma goes down the elevator in the mine shaft and confronts a dragon which could be Maleficent’s “surprising counterpart” in SB. Maybe that is her true form as everyone seems to be in their true forms in SB. We know from the Disney version of Sleeping Beauty that it was at least one of her forms.
