My JoAnn’s was having a big yarn sale–25% off all brands. Got a small haul.
From L to R: Lion Bran Homeland in Denali; 2 skeins of Deborah Norville Chunky in Berry Burst; 2 skeins of Vanna’s Choice in Caramel.
The “Denali” is the only project started thus far. It’s my “mindless crochet blanket” that will take forever to make so I only pick up a skein at a time
Nice RG!
Is that pink blanket single crochet? I’m trying to recognize what the fabric should look like.
I’ve been attempting a single crochet it’s hard. I think I’m doing it too tightly and it’s hard to tension my yarn in my right hand since I hold yarn in my left hand for knitting. Also, the easier thing about knitting is your stitches are always “live”, meaning you never have to go looking for them because they’re waiting on your resting needle. My goal is to learn enough to do borders for my knitting. I will keep trying.

It’s the moss stitch which is a single crochet, chain one, and then SC into the chain one space.
Keep at it!
There is a moss stitch in knitting, too. I like the results but it’s extremely boring to knit for big projects.
My goal right now of crochet is to be able to do this:
I’d like to use it as a border for my machine knit blanket I’m going to do. I’m not totally ignorant because for seaming one method I’ve used is a crochet slip stitch seam, which now that I’m seeing single crochet is similar to that.

Ive been thinking about doing the moss stitch and love those gloves RG.
At the moment I am making a Bucilla Felt Stocking. It is meant to be a weekend project but read stuff that it isn’t. It isnt. Nope, not at all. Out of a hundred pieces after hours of work I am on step 10. I wanted to make four before Thanksgiving I might get Rs done.
I made a pumpkin for my mom
Blanket for Tiny Cold Human is finished finally! *wipes sweat off brow*
Well, it’s almost finished. After taking about a week to knit in June, it’s taken multiple attempts to knit a border I like. I finally got the shell crochet border down. Still don’t know really how to really crochet but I can do a shell border now. All that’s left is weaving the loose ends in and then washing and blocking it.
That’s two projects off the needles in one week! A record. Next I have to finish my gloves and I’ll have no current projects. Yay for completing things, which is a big thing for me as I have a big problem with it.
Before I tackle finishing off the gloves, I think I’m going to pull the knitting machine out and knit a bonus blanket for Tiny Cold Human. And now I know a border I can put on it! 😉

Sweet Baby Jesus, FINALLY!!!!!!!!!
NOW PICS !!!! (or you’re lying)
Okay, here is a pic pre-blocked. Remember it will look better after it’s washed and blocked. But it’s done.
