Today is mom’s birthday so I wanted to make her something. She doesn’t really have a winter scarf, but she’s not fond of heavy weighty ones. So I saw this patten and thought it worked really well as warm but airy.

I am knitting a cloche hat that I’m beginning to think has just as much knitting in it as a sweater. I’ve been working on it for about five days and I’m still on the brim. Anything that starts out with 198 stitches isn’t going to end quickly. 😉 I hope it’s going to be slightly big, and I think it is, because I want to lightly felt it, which I think would add structure it needs.

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"I have some of the ends weaved in on my glove. (It’s just so boring!) I’ll save that for tomorrow at work where I have the bright florescent. My lights aren’t conducive to that type of work 😛
And I’m going to the laundromat Tuesday so I’ll wash it and then get it blocked and mailed out this week. Blame laziness and then bronchitis/pneumonia/tb/ebola/whooping cough/whatever else I was diagnosed with for the delay.
