ParticipantI love you crocheters, “I’m going to make a poncho today.” Meanwhile, it would take me a few months to complete a poncho unless is was very bulky yarn knit on large needles. 😉 I can see the time aspect being a huge road block for crocheters who want to learn to knit. It’s like going from a race car to a bicycle.
I want to see the stitch clay markers. I usually just buy the cheap plastic ones from Walmart or the craft store. I have tiny circles all around the house, in my couch cushions, and I’ve even found a stray one in my car.
I’m in the process of making my needle organizer. When it’s done I will post pictures. I can’t remember if I mentioned it on the last page, but it’s a three ring zippered binder with lots of pockets and things to store the majority of my knitting instruments. Straight needles, which I don’t use and haven’t for years, can go in a vase if I ever find them since they’re too long to fit in it. Some of the straight ones have been used for other things around the house and never returned.

ParticipantMy leaf scarf. It needs aggressively blocked. (Yes, I block practically everything I knit. It’s magical). Then after it’s all blocked I’ll sew the ends and turn it into an infinity scarf.
I think this Berry and Bramble Cardigan will be my next project if I can find my back issue of Interweave Knits. I’ve been meaning to start it for quite some time and it was either this or a pair of socks but I think this will be next.

ParticipantOh, RG, that’s beautiful! Your aunt is very lucky.

ParticipantHere are the polymer clay stitch markers. I am going to post pics of everything else when I get back from the hospital.
My hubby made the candy cane. I also made a pig and some hearts but that was another day. I will post pics of my new yarn organizing system and my projects.
RG I love that scarf! I need to venture out and do different stitches. I have DC, SC, and popcorn down. I need to branch out, that will be my New Year’s resolution.
Jo: You cracked my mom up with the above post about crocheters. She knits as well and can’t crochet (except a chain and SC).

KeymasterSO cute KP!!!!!
Two new things.
First, my aunt fell in love with the gloves I made awhile back, so she asked me to whip up a pair. Here they are in “Red Bayou”
I decided my dog, Bella, needed a coat. It’s not all the way done, but I bought the fabric and the pattern and my mom sewed it!!

ParticipantKP, those stitch markers are adorable. And your mom and I are on about the same skill level with crochet 😉 Hope she’s doing better.
RG, great gloves. Love the coat, too. We will need to see Bella IN her coat when all is done. 😛 This is a must.
So I started my cardigan and I got an inch done and think I’m going to tear it out. The ribbing is just driving me nuts. It’s a twisted ribbing but it’s only every other row and the lack of consistency every row is bothering me. I’m doing it exactly how the pattern is written, the problem is I don’t like how that part of the pattern is written. So I’m going to swatch a few different ribbing styles and pick one and restart. If I keep going in pattern I’m just not going to enjoy this cardigan. So I shall do some experiments and then settle on something I like.

ParticipantIt is too cold to knit. Seriously. Even with a lap full of wool it’s too cold. 🙁
