Nice potholders.  Hope mom uses them often.

And I didn’t go back to my sweater, yet.  I ended shoveling the car out of the snow and going to JoAnn’s.  I bought a skein of Paton’s Classic Wool in Harvest colorway.  I split the skein in half to have two balls of it and cast on some socks.  Doing two socks at time with Magic Loop.  My circular cable is driving me insane.  It keeps kinking up on me.  One way to fix is putting it in boiling water for a few seconds.  That worked a little but not much.  I might try it again.

I will get back to my sweater.  In fact, I’m gonna do a few rows in a bit so I don’t totally forget where I’m at but I needed something else.  Plus, my feet are cold and we’re getting another bought of subzero weather.  Wool socks will help. 😛

Ooooh. Pretty. Okay, several things finally got done today.

First up, my “trio of baby things” including corner to corner blanket,a beanie, and booties. All done in Deborah Norville Serenity Baby “Boy Blue”

And going along with that, a diaper cover for the new baby.

Watcher, here is a Gryffindor scarf I made about between 10-15 years ago.  😉

I should really break out the old yarn stuff I made in middle school just to post in this thread to prove I’ve got some talent too 😛

I’ve had some sock yarn stashed for awhile, so I decided to start a pair today. Progress on first sock throughout the day (Color is called “Meadow Stripes” from Kroy Sock Yarn)

Jo you’ll have to tell me if this is good pooling or not..I honestly don’t know

I like the striping, RG.  I’d say that’s great pooling.  It’s always hard to predict how a stripe or variegated yarn will actually turn out.  I’ve had a few skeins that I love on the skein and knit up horribly.  But that looks really great.  Jealous because my little JoAnn’s doesn’t carry  sock yarn anymore.  I pick it up when I go to others in the area.  I’ve heard that Kroy washed really well, too.

I’m almost done with my socks.  Tomorrow probably.  The pooling was pretty close on it until now when I’ve a bit off but it’s so random that I don’t think  you’d be able to tell that they don’t match exactly.  I’m actually more impressed by how it’s pooling for me than what I saw on Ravelry.  Interesting how different dye lots really are different in the same exact yarn and color.

I was hired to make an elephant costume for a newborn. Ignore all the ends that need to sewed in. Still gotta make the eyes for the hat and the toes for the booties.

I like the elephant. It will be cute on the baby.

I finished my socks.  The color in the photo a few posts back is the true color.  The ones in these photos is off.  I was having a hard time photographing them while shooing my cat out of the shot.
