I am totally envious of knitters!! My mother used to make gorgeous Scandanavian style sweaters with intricate designs. I can handle…knitting stripes (heh)
My sister is a master quilter and does amazing applique.
Me? Jewelry designer here. My passion for rings and pendants and bracelets made of silver flatwear with wireworks accents is my current obsession.
I’ve also, on the other end of the spectrum have been a Teddy Bear artist for *cough cough* years. I create my own designs, mostly jointed, hand-stitched, using mohair, alpaca and luxury faux furs.
Enjoy all these pictures! Very talented ladies.

I also make jewelry! I’m more into working with chain and beads, and occasionally I put stuff up for sale at heartplacedesign.etsy.com. I haven’t made anything new in awhile, so it’s mostly all older stuff in there right now.
Other than that I’m a trained costumer and milliner, so I sew and make hats. Probably half of what I watch OUAT for is just to stare and all the pretty costumes and try to figure out how they were made. There are so many costumes from the show I would love to recreate, but sadly I don’t have the time or money to do so.

Oooooh! Do you have any pictures of your work? I love seeing what other jewelry designers do!

Wow!! I am really impress with all the talent we love to see some photos of everyone’s stuff. 🙂
Ummm, I will see if I can figure out how to upload a few 🙂 without totally screwing it up!
textbookone: Oh, now I would LOVE to see photos of your art. Please? Hats, I miss them. I used to wear lots of berets and felt floppy versions with big flowers in my college years. (I always wanted to fashion some miniatures for my antique-style teddies.)
BRING BACK HATS!!!!

I can’t wait to see your stuff! My theatre/cosplay portfolio is at http://www.victoriab.net, and my etsy is http://www.heartplacedesigns.etsy.com (because I forgot to make it a link before). I tend to only make hats for school/when I get paid to, so I don’t have as many opportunities as I’d like. MAKE ALL THE HATS!

My daughter would OWN Lily’s Turban (grin) while her mother would definitely * be one with* the felt cloche for casual tilted-over-one-eyebrow wear (grin)
What a blast you must have!!!
