Nearly every page on this forum switches my ipad from Safari to the app store, blanking and locking the screen for several seconds before I can do anything. It was just a quirk when it happened once a week or so, but it’s a big problem now. Is anybody else experiencing this? I think I saw something about it a few weeks ago, maybe in the chat frame.

I have a somewhat related issue with my iPhone.
Issue solved: Ok, so I got rid of Google Search on my phone and replaced it with Puffin. Which is available from iTunes and Google Play for Android. It’s free. I’ve had few issues with it so far.
Like I noted in the chat, it’s fast, I can add bookmarks, and best of all, new annoying adds interrupting my browser.

I have the same issue with my iPad. Never had the issue before up to a few weeks ago. It only happens 2 or 3 times while I’m moving around in the forum and then it stops. I don’t have this issue on any other website though.

I’ve had zero problems with Puffin since installing it on my iPhone. The app does have ads but they’re at the bottom of the screen — which I can live with. I’m just glad I don’t have to deal with annoying prompts asking if I want to go to iTunes on my phone.
I’ve been using Mercury instead of Safari for the past few days, with no detours to the app store when I visit the forum.

I tried Mercury for a second but the keyboard kept on turning off on me and once I logged in, it refreshed to the iTunes store. Puffin is staying on my phone.
Are you on iOS 7, or 8? What app opens? What other ad URL are you being redirected to? The more specific you can be, the better I can narrow this down and squash it like the little bug it is.

I think somehow it’s fixed now, Daniel. I quit having the issue on Sunday morning. IOS 7. The Apps store, every time. 3 different free game apps would pop up in rotation, like as if you were ready to purchase & download. Can’t remember the game names though. Some days it would only pop up a few times and other days it was constantly popping up. I hope this helps. :o)

Thanks, Daniel. I’ll email if it happens again. I’m using iOS 7, and I switched back to Safari today with no problem.
