I think that since the title is called Apple Red as Blood that this is the episode where the Queen, as an old woman, gives the poisoned apple to Snow and she goes into the cursed sleep. Maybe that is what happens by the end of the episode. That could then lead the final episode to be about Charming finding Snow and waking her and a little bit after that where maybe they take over Charming’s castle and make plans to go after the queen more actively. I know i like that idea.
The end is going to be great.

I agree that they wont fit her having the apple and Charming saving her in one episode. The final would be cool to end the same way the Pilot began so we have kind of come full circle on Snow and Charming’s love before they are married. That way, season 2 can sort out what happened in the year (or so) the EQ took to intact the curse after Charming and Snow are married.
I cant wait to see how they take this and play with it – after all, this is an iconic moment for the story of Snow White. How will they change it? Or will they play by the rules and make it very similar to the classic Disney story we all know? I feel that many of the events so far have been behind the scenes of the story we know – it sort of fills in the background of the story we know. But this is so familiar, I am dying to see what they change!

I also wonder because Charming is wearing his red outfit when he kisses Snow if he has already taken over his castle and was at his coronation or something. We know so little. I like your idea that Season 2 could be about the year or so between the marriage and Emma being born, but they may still go far into the past as well. There still seems to be a lot of in between story to tell, but i am not sure how much of it that we will see.

I think this is highly probable. I thought when the title for “The Fruit of the Poisonous Tree” was released, that episode was going to be about the poisoned apple but it really wasn’t.

I like that idea.

It would be a nice parallel to the opening scene of the pilot if you think about it 😀 of Charming finding Snow’s coffin in the woods and “waking her up.”

Good point. If like to see that scene. And I also agree to the meaning of the title and hope that the first scene in the pilot makes another appearance. Although I don’t care too much for seeing Charming and Snow’s life between him saving her and them having Snow. But we don’t know how long they waited to have a child, do we? There’s no telling how much went down in that time. If they waited longer than a year to have Emma then I’d be up for seeing that story. But I still don’t think it’ll be the finale.
If you watched Lost, every finale ended with a cliffhanger so big that it’d make you want to hang yourself from a cliff. But what they were doing was introducing us to something so new/different so that they could spend a whole new season explaining it or building on top of it.
Lost Finales:
Season 1: a light came on inside the hatch.
Season 2: the Others kidnap Jack, Kate, and Sawyer.
Season 3: FlashFORWARDING begins. Charlie dies. New people come to the island are not who they say they are.
Season 4: The Oceanic 6 get off the island. We think Jin dies. They want to go back in Flashforwards. We see that John Locke was in the casket
Season 5: the incident. ‘Nough said.I understand this isn’t a Lost forum but I’m trying to explain how every season finale introduced us to something that would make the series last longer. And although OUAT has many background stories about fairy tales to explain, the curse can’t go on for the entire series. Something big needs to happen.
To tell you the truth I would LOVE to see them switch to Flashforwards at some point. Who knows, maybe they already are… :p
