It certainly looks so to me:
– Owen’s close bond with Regina was shown to us on the very first episode after she loses yet another person she loved;
– Regina went through with killing her father, despite loving him, for the curse because she was convinced she could not find her happy ending in FTL. She met Owen on the very first day of the curse;
– They met for the first time when Owen interrupted her flirting with Graham. If they do get together on the long run this’ll end up having an cute subtextual “Back off, she’s MINE… for when I get through puberty!”;
– He shares her love for apples;
– He’s shown to be able to be kind to even the rudest people. That’s something Regina really needs;
– They were both shaped by their losses. They even bonded over it;
– Through he’s bottled up great pain from losing his father and not understanding why, Greg doesn’t seem to show signs (yet, at least) of actually hating Regina. On the contrary, he cared enough to call her when Henry showed signs of being about do something stupid;
– And the big one. Owen grew on Regina’s heart; she had a soft spot for him as a young boy. That’s huge for Regina, so I doubt it’ll change when she meets his adult self, even if he goes against her.What do you guys think? Am I onto something, or am I just reaching here?

I think Greg may be stalking Regina. All the footage of magic use Greg has collected has been of Regina, and Greg took a photo of Henry’s bag before calling Regina and telling her he was in the woods

Keeper of FelixMarch 18, 2013 at 7:24 pm #180731RumplesGirlKeymasterI think those are a lot of points you’ve made but I sincerely hope not. I think it would be very creepy. She wanted to be his mother and suddenly she’s dating him? I’m still Team Hook/Regina.

Yes, I agree with both you and PriceofMagic that it would be disgusting if they did go that route. In fact, when sneak peeks about “Welcome to Storybrooke” started to come out last week, I wished in one of my posts that if Greg turned out to be Owen, and if Regina did do something to his father, please never let Regina/Greg happen.
The only way I would be even close to okay with it is if Regina had screwed up Gregowen’s life so badly that he was disturbed enough to be okay with being in a romance with her, and she finally realized and it actually stuck how awful her actions have been that she did the same thing to Gregowen that her mother, Rumple, Jefferson, Dr. Whale, etc. did to her. That she was the only one responsible for creating this Gregowen monster instead of a guy who probably would have turned out fairly normal if she hadn’t kidnapped his dad and let him grow up without either parent and thought of as crazy because no one believed that a mysterious town just happened to appear when he was camping with his father and that some evil lady abducted his father, and the realization of that makes her finally realize that redemption isn’t about trying to make your son love you, or make the town like you, it’s about trying to make up for the pain that you’ve caused in others.
Since I don’t really see redemption sticking at this point because the writers seem more concerned with having Regina throw a pity party in almost every episode this season, I definitely don’t want Greg/Regina to happen in any shape or form.

I agree except I wouldn’t use the word stalking because I think it has a negative connotation, more like gathering evidence, and so far I can’t really blame him since it only seems like he’s interested in getting his father back.

I must’ve missed that. I assumed Henry ran into Greg because that particular site in the woods was where the latter camped with his father in the first flashback scene. I’ll definitely review the scene when I get home.
March 18, 2013 at 8:37 pm #180738kfchimeraParticipantI also hope not! She was responding to him as a mother. She’s been shown before to want children in FTL (Gretel ).
For Greg’s part, I don’t think he would think of her that way. He has to be wondering why she did not let his Dad go. I am guessing he is pretty damaged and angry, but he is also cautious and clever enough to play those emotions close to the vest. He doesn’t march right up to her door, for example and demand answers. He knows she has magic too, and that must be pretty scary. I am sure there will be a confrontation with Regina at some point, but it seems like his main goal right now is to rescue his father before the crazy people can capture him too.

March 18, 2013 at 8:40 pm #180739PriceofMagicParticipantYou can hear the click of the camera as he picked up Henry’s bag.
If Regina wanted a child so badly, why did she wait 18 years to get Henry?

Keeper of FelixMarch 18, 2013 at 9:32 pm #180744tiara_roseParticipantAm I the only one that think that he doesn’t know that he called actually called Mayor Mills for Henry. It is clear that he is stalking Regina, but Henry doesn’t live by her and is not in her near in the moment. For somebody without any more information she is a single, like she used to be.
I think that what he told was true. He saw how upset he was and make a picture of the adress label on his back and call Henrys mom to make sure that the poor boy is safe not like himself.
Did anybody see the green-red keychain that Owen gives Regina before this episode? I didn’t noticed, but it would not be ususal for this show if we not have already seen it.

March 18, 2013 at 10:10 pm #180759ser_dragonParticipantIt would be so wrong in so many levels. That woman take his father away from him. Remember how he cried when he came back with that two cops? He must have been so traumatized then. It would be as wrong as the CaptainSwann ship (I think it’s the name for it, right?)
March 18, 2013 at 11:02 pm #180771timespacerParticipantI’m guessing Owen was so traumatized by what happened that he grew up to be very bitter and he hates Regina but he is smart enough to gather as much intel as he can and not directly confront her.
If Henry had his full name on the backpack, Greg would probably have recognized the name “Mills” but I’m guessing Henry only had his first name and phone number on the backpack. This would seem to be confirmed by the fact that when he called Regina, he asked “Is this Henry’s mother?”, not “Is this Mayor Mills?” So Greg has no idea yet that Regina is Henry’s mother.
If Greg is as emotionally damaged as I suspect, it could be bad for Henry when Greg finds out Henry is Regina’s son. He might think “You took away my loved one,so now I’m going to take away yours” and try to kill Henry. This would be an even more excruciating development for Regina if she had to fight the little boy she was once so fond of in order to save Henry. As one of the previous posters said, it might be the thing that finally makes her realize what she has done.
