Ariel is headed for Storybrooke!!!!
What does she need to get from Rumple’s shop? Rumple thinks it will cause a fate worse than death for Peter Pan. Will Ariel return to Neverland? Will Belle use the bracelet and go in her place?

I think Ariel will arrive in SB, secure whatever object needs securing (pixie dust most likely) and then give her bracelet to Belle. It will turn Belle into a mermaid and she will go to SB. Now if you’ve been paying attention to spoilers we know that Belle is waiting on the docks in 310 for the boat to return. But I think Belle comes back early from Neverland to take down the barrier spell for the ship to return to SB

I even had the same thought independently of you. 🙂 Will Ariel trade her tail for Belle’s legs, thereby enabling Belle to swim to NL to be with Rumple and enabling Ariel to stay in SB with Eric? I think so! When Belle gets to NL, Rumple or Regina could always use magic to change her back into a human. Also, I think that Ariel will show Belle whatever it is that Rumple wants, and Belle will take it to him.

I think the fate worse than death for Peter is being forced to grow up. Just think of the versions of “Peter Pan”. What he never does (beside the movie Hook) is grow up. He even stays behind while the Lost Boys leave him to grow up in the original version. It’s his biggest fear.
So whatever Rumple has in Storybrooke will allow him to capture Peter and bring him to Storybrooke where he’ll age as normal children do.

That absolutely fits with classic PP.

Yes! I like it

I think that is an excellent theory! We already know that the Dark One has the power to wind back the clock on a person’s life, like he offered to do with Smee and Neal. So, maybe the way that Rumple would accomplish this is by whatever object that Ariel retrieves from Mr. Gold’s shop. And then either Ariel or Belle hand delivers it to Rumple in NL. That way, they can cause PP to realize his worse nightmare, a fate worse than death, old age! Dun dun dun!
So whatever Rumple has in Storybrooke will allow him to capture Peter and bring him to Storybrooke where he’ll age as normal children do.
What if PP ages into an old man, who could also be Rumple’s father? It’s a completely nutty, far-fetched theory, but hey, it’s cracktastic!

We know Ariel keeps wearing it, even when she’s wearing regular clothes, which sorta says to me that she’s gotta keep it on if she wants to keep her legs.
Snow couldn’t take it off herself, but I’m guessing Ariel can put this one on and take it off as needed, considering she’s not gonna be very useful for Regina and Rumple otherwise. She’s gotta be able to change into a human to get there, and into a mermaid to get back, otherwise it’s pointless to send her. So I wonder if this bracelet has slightly different rules to the previous one? Last time it was the price, as though if one became human, another had to become a mermaid, but I dunno that that’s the case with this new deal.
There’s that photo from the beach where Ariel’s holding her arms out in front of her and doing something with the bracelet. I’m now thinking that she’s about to take it off, so she’ll become a mermaid again and can swim back to NL.
November 3, 2013 at 11:05 pm #220870swanning-offParticipantthink the key is that Regina said “legs – under your control this time” so I don’t think there is a price with the bracelet, in that someone else has to become a fish and Ariel will be able to take the bracelet on and off. The price to the magic is doing Regina & Rumple’s bidding.

That’s a really good point, which makes me think that perhaps Regina changed the “rules” of the bracelet so that Ariel can do her and Rumple a favor. BTW: I love your “dinglehoppered” gif! 🙂

November 3, 2013 at 11:49 pm #220891RumplesGirlKeymasterI just did a rewatch and the rules of the bracelet in the flashback were: so long as Snow keeps it on, Ariel could keep her legs. Snow could not remove it herself.
But maybe Regina can change the principles of the bracelet so that she can keep her legs but Belle can take it off and get her legs back if she does go to NL.
