A funny thing happened the other night after I saw Pan be shot at with the squid ink arrow, Pan’s reaction made it seem as though the last time Bae shot him with an arrow it pierced him and got the squid ink into his system, stands to reason other magic could be delivered the  same way.   I thought of the times someone has leveled a arrow at Regina. Snow in “Heart of Darkness” the executioners in “Cricket Game.”  Puncturing her heart then would undoubtedly ended her life but at severe cost to those firing it. In “Heart of Darkness” Rumple warned that if an arrow punctured Regina’s heart  Snow would be cursed with the same evil that had consumed Regina.  I suspect a similar fate awaited Snow and David had Regina’s execution gone through.  Now we’ve learned that Regina’s soul mate is the ultimate archer.  The number of times Regina’s had a bow leveled at her, the fact Robin is her happy ending makes me think there has got to be some element of foreshadowing at play. Suppose an arrow w/ its tip dipped in true love potion ( a la the kind Rumple had set aside for a rainy day) is the cure for the hole in Regina’s heart.

Wasn’t the hole in Regina’s heart cured when the curse ended?

@PriceofMagic I don’t think going to a different land would fix a hole in your heart. I thought casting the curse was what put the whole there in the first place. Maleficent said that.

@Watcher, yes casting the curse caused the hole in Regina’s heart, which prevented her from properly loving Henry, but in season 2, it implied that when the curse was broken, the hole in Regina’s heart was cured.

I thought the whole hole in her heart thing was literally not really. I thought that her heart is black. But I hope that the Arrow of love will heal her.

Going off of what was said about the price of casting the curse let’s recap (paying close attention to the wording):

Maleficent said “It will leave an emptiness inside you. A void you will never be able to fill.”

If that’s the case then Regina’s heart needs to be filled by another say a certain archer whose color is Lincoln Green?

I think that Rumple made that a part of the curse with Regina in mind why, I’m not entirely sure but it would have to be out of more than spite in my opinion. I think the potion he gave Snow in “Heart of Darkness” was a trial run. Remember he said it “took away her love, left a big hole in her heart. The person she was there’s no way to bring her back. No potion can bring back true love.”  We’ve seen that Regina can only come part of the way when it comes to redemption and that despite loving Henry and being prepared to sacrifice her life to ensure he would not be alone her heat remains darkened. I think that ultimately the dysfunctional family will have to come to her rescue.

    Clever animation, very clever indeed!

Now I doubt I’ll be interested enough in Once Wonderland to pay attention, but  from tonight’s episode we can glean a bit about A&E’s version of Robin and his Merrie Men. 1) Clearly Robin knows his way around magic and learned that it comes at a price. 2)  Robin is wise enough to know that what goes around comes around, since he knows that Will’s comeuppance will come due. Now Robin says he knows this by “experience” hmmmm… very interesting! I’ll bet that Robin had a run-in with his soul mate and doesn’t her to be so and that when he discovers the truth he will;  a) fight to win her back (maybe after some persuasion) or b) leave her to her fate.  I’m pulling for the former.
