Hey guys- I’m auditioning for Les Miserables (which is a singing play) and…yes…I caught a cold right before auditions. Auditions are tomorrow at 6…any suggestions on what to do?
I’ve been searching the internet and all and talking to people…but I just thought I’d ask you guys. 🙂

Hm, I don’t know about the cold itself, but if it’s a throat problem, I always drink water with honey – it’s best if you let a table spoon of honey dissolve in half a glass of luke warm water (if it’s warm, a lot of the honey goodness will be gone!) and sip a little bit throughout the day. It really smooths your throat WAY better than any lozenges!
And before you go to sleep drink something that will make you hot and sweaty – kill the virus with your body heat! Hot milk with butter, ginger and crushed garlic and honey for the nicer taste might sound disgusting but it works wonders and is not actually that bad.
I hope this helps, tiny little, even though it is a bit unconventional 😉
BTW, I love Les Miserables, I’ve seen the 25th Anniversary Concert, it was mind blowing!
Who are you auditioning for? Best of luck! Tell us how it goes 😉

hot water (not boiling) + a boat load of salt + citrus juice
mix it all in one cup and gargle every hour or so.
it won’t cure you, it will just clear your throat long enough for you to be able to audition.
Thanks, Marilou! I really appreciate it. 🙂

Good luck on your audition! 😀 😉
Amazing! Eponine and “On my own” is one of my favourites! I seriously feel for her and cannot see what Marius sees in Cosette! 😆
Good luck!
Good luck!
I always do hot water with lemon juice and honey in it when I need to be able to talk or sing but have a throat thing or a cold! 🙂
