Did August prompt Henry to look in the book for proof which August himself put in when he added some pages a few episodes ago? He said the stories in Henry’s book are as real as August is. That makes me think August could be a fairy tale character. Also, it makes me think of Pinocchio, who was turned into a “real boy”. Thoughts?

I thought the same thing about the real comment from August. What is with him and water? He had this whole conversation about water by the well with Emma and he ordered a water at the bar. Is there a reference there that i am not getting?

I also think that maybe August added something about the keys to the books since that is what Henry found to tell Emma.

I think you may be onto something. Perhaps August did add information about the skeleton keys, which is where Henry got the idea in the first place. Also, I'm wondering if he added something about Wonderland, since that is what's happening next week…

Well, when August said the “as real as I am” line I thought of Peter Pan, who in the stories is supposedly a fictional character Wendy Darling (if I am remembering this correctly) makes up to her two brothers, Michael and John, but then turns out to be real and comes from a Fairy Tale Lane (not our FTL, but the Never Never Land).

I have to say I like the whole Peter Pan theory brought up on the podcast tonight. Peter would know the stories because Wendy read them. He would come and listen to them. So he could know the stories. Also since these writers tend to cross characters I will say, I wonder if August could be both Peter Pan and Rumpel’s son. Also Peter Pan traveled around and between world’s. I know there is a lot of idea that August is Pinnochio, and maybe he is, but I still like the Peter Pan/ Bae tie in.

I like the Peter Pan/Bae tie in as well. Rumple did say that he had “lost” his son, which could be a nod to the Lost Boys of Never Never Land.

Alright! I’m calling it! August is Peter Pan and it will be revealed that Emma’s original name was Wendy. I think August, along with a few of his friends (the Lost Boys) found baby Emma on the side of the road and named her Wendy.

Interesting. But she was wrapped in her “Emma” blanket that SW and Charming made for her. So why Wendy?

Something about the way August said we are the kind of people who believe on faith made me think that Rumpel was an outsider and that he was really believing that the stories are true and not that he knows they are true because he was there. We will see.

Wow, I love this idea! But i think, like Rumplesgirl, that Emma probably is not Wendy. Perhaps Peter was in Never Never Land when the curse was intact, so he avoided it. Allowing Peter (or maybe August) to travel to our world and grow up to save everyone in FTL.
