Okay, so I was thinking fairly hard about this and… There is NO WAY August should or could know all the things that he knows. How does he know:
– Neal is Baelfire?
-About the book?
– About the Author being trapped in the book?
– About the Sorcerer?
– About Rumpel’s dagger? Now that I think of it, didn’t he have a DRAWING of the dagger?
Yeah, no, something is up. August came here as a child and lived here most of his life. Knowing about Emma’s destiny and the curse is one thing but virtually no one besides Cora knew about Rump’s dagger. Or about Baelfire being rump’s lost son. NO ONE knew where the Author was. But August knows all these things. How?
Because he is the Sorcerer’s new Apprentice. It would explain everything! We have talked about before that if the sorcerer trapped the author before Emma was born, how could Emma’s birth have been written into the book? August wrote it. I think The Sorcerer found August, told him everything, gave him a magic typewriter with magic ink, and had him record the stories that followd after Isaac’s entrapment.
August told Henry that he added stories into the book right? Stories he may have gotten on his travels? Hmmm..sounds just like THE AUTHOR!!!! AUGUST IS THE AUTHOR/APPRENTICE! He is the Sorcerer’s Home Skillet Biscuitt!

We’ve seen that The Apprentice was capable of opening doors and vortexes to the real world and we’ve never seen hi in SB, yet. He could have very well been out in the real world for a good number of years, following & advising August.
However, I do like the idea of August being the new Sorcerer’s Apprentice. 🙂

oooh that’s very true, I forgot the apprentice wasn’t in SB until the second curse. Wait, was he? I know the Sorcerer’s mansion wasn’t in SB the first curse, but do we know the same about the Apprentice? But that’s still a very good idea. It seems the Apprentice is Sorcerer’s footman anyway, I could see him going to august and letting him know the deal. I am placing a 100 cookie bet this is the case, people.

If the typewriter comes from the sorcerer, it probably has magic ink, ink needed for the quill. This is where Rumpel plans of getting the ink from, I presume.

I hope they don’t make the typewriter have magic ink. I could be wrong but it seems like what ever is written in the magic ink then happen such as Cruella’s control over animals and her not being able to kill. If the typewriter contains magic ink, then that could throw into question Neal’s identity. August wrote “I know you’re Baelfire” on the typewriter. If the magic ink was used, does that mean that August made Neal be Baelfire in order to tie everything together? Obviously there is evidence in the show that contradicts this but the writers do like to retcon things.

I doubt it. The ink is also used to record events. August just states that he knows the truth about Neal, that could fall under the recording aspect rather than the creating aspect.
