After Hades *melted* Aunt Em and put her in the river of lost souls, her headstone was cracked. That is supposed to mean a person has gone to the worst place. Now, I thought that only meant moving on, out of the underworld. But apparently, it includes all the “lost souls” in the river. I know that has repeatedly been called “a fate worse than death”, but they are still here, in Hades domain, under his control.

I don’t know what this means, but I thought it was worth commenting on, because it is different than what I thought I understood.

Also, does that mean that all the souls in the river really cannot be saved, if they all have cracked stones, and the river counts as “the worse place”?

Well, at the moment I’m pretty sure that we’re supposed to believe there’s no way to save the souls in the lost souls river.

I’m still holding out hope though, because it’s pretty dark to leave Auntie Em, a repentant Milah, and Gaston’s accidentally doomed self there eternally.

I’m hopeful too, despite how unlikely they have made it seem.

That’s partly why I was so surprised by the cracked stone.

I am actually hoping there is no way to save them from the river.

Everything can’t have a happy ending. Everything can’t work out for the heroes. All actions can’t be undone just because they are horrible. I think Hades has the power to bring people out of the river (In Hercule, when Herc regained his god status he pulled Meg out of it) but I really don’t want them to do it.

We need some unhappy  endings to keep realism v_v Is it bad that I think that? 😛

I think they’ll be able to pull souls out the river just so that Gaston isn’t hanging over Belle’s head and Milah will get to move on.

I don’t think they’ll get out of the river, I don’t think they’ll ever be mentioned again because the viewers don’t care about them, therfore the writers don’t care about them, therefore the characters don’t care about them. Belle will be fine next season as if nothing happened.

Interesting observation. I don’t know how I feel about this river being the worst place….

It’s pretty dark in an existentialist way. I know there can’t always be happy endings but this is a bit much.
