The one good thing about all this build up is that when he does make it to storybrook, it’s going to be explosive. It has to be or i think we’ll all die of disappointment.

I also found this handy website where a fan has broken 😛 the episode down into 1,999 frames:

October 5, 2012 at 12:17 pm #155569PheeParticipantWish I’d had the chance to get on the forums before now. Reading a whole 11 page thread in one sitting is a task. They really picked the worst time for the season premiere, right when I was moving house, (the day it aired was the day I was moving my computer from the old house to the new, and I wouldn’t let my dad unplug it until I’d downloaded Once, coz I didn’t have internet at the new house yet).
Anyway…the news about the postcard leaked out a day or so before the ep aired, and I posted my theory that it was Blue Fairy who sent it. I believe she always retained her memories, so she’d be able to keep tabs on Emma, and potentially orchestrated events in her life, including her meeting Henry’s father, who I believe MRJ will end up being. I hadn’t really subscribed to the theory of Bae being Henry’s father. but this theory I cooked up pretty much sold me on the idea. I think that Blue was in contact with Bae in our world, told him about his papa’s curse, and that if he wanted to help break it, he had to do what she said, (contacting Emma). I think she told him that when the time came and his papa’s curse was broken, she’d send him a sign, and they could come and be reunited. That’s what the postcard was, the message that the curse was broken, and the location he has to come to.
I’ve never been completely sold on the idea that August knew Bae, though there’s a decent argument for it, so it could very well end up being the case. I think August is still a chunk of wood in SB at this point in time though, so don’t think he could have sent the postcard. Great to hear that Eion is back on set though!

I’ve believed since last Feb. that Bae is Peter Pan and now Henry’s father as well. Here is my theory:
Ever since the moment Bae went down that hole, I’ve thought he might end up being Peter Pan. The moment his father didn’t follow him, he officially became an orphaned “lost boy” and if the vortex sends you were you need to go, there’s every chance it sent him to Neverland.
The more I’ve thought about it, the more I’ve come to want Peter Pan to be Henry’s father. The boy who famously couldn’t grow up became the father of the only boy in SB who could grow up. I wasn’t sure if they’d make Bae be Peter and Henry’s father though. But it’s still a possibility, and it’s currently my fave theory on the topic.

It’s an Aesthetic Apparatus poster, “Control and Capital” http://shop.walkerart.org/collections/posters/products/aesthetic-apparatus-poster-control-capital. If you look at it up close, it reminds me even more of Rumple letting Bae go.
There’s the vines representing the green vortex that sucked Bae in. There’s his dad’s hand that is red representing not only the Curse that has caused his dad to get the blood of innocent people on his hands, but also the deal that his dad broke despite their handshake. Finally, instead of holding onto his only son, his father would rather hold onto control and capital just like the red hand in the artwork is doing.
That poster is the thing that stuck out to me too, because of its colour, mostly. You don’t stick something that’s bright red in the middle of the scene, unless you want it to stand out. Your analysis of how it could relate to Rumple seems pretty spot on. I also think that the fact it’s got something on the inside wrist, suggests a connection to Emma, because we know they’ve said that her wrist tatt will end up having some significance.

I’m glad i’m not the only one who noticed that MRJ’s room was kind of inbetween Henry’s and Gold’s in terms of how much odd stuff he has lying around and what kind of stuff it is.
The feel is so similar between the 3 rooms that I have to think it’s not coincidence.

I too believe that the worlds contain many portal / realm jumpers. I can’t wait to see this further explored and expanded upon.
I would like to take the time to say thank you to everyone who contributes to these boards. The amount of thought that goes behind the theories and the research put into their creation is amazing. I thinks it’s a pretty nifty group to be a part of. For instance the person who took the time to piece together the Dr. Whale Frankenstein Theory deserves mad props! Even if it turns out wrong, way to research your points! Same love goes to everyone else out their stretching their minds and trying to piece together the randomness. Thank you for sharing.

LOL! Faux Pax! I want to see him fight Captain Hook because I will continue believe he is also Peter Pan until proven otherwise 😉
@ KalliopeKisees, thanks for the kind words re: the Frankie theory. Gypsy and I worked together on that one. Important to note that Marilou had also mentioned Frankenstein prior to Gypsy and I joining this forum. She’s been supportive all the way 🙂

October 6, 2012 at 4:08 am #155652JosephineParticipantThe more I think about it the more I think our Mystery Man is Baelfire, Peter Pan and Henry’s dad. I do wonder if the bean took Bae to “a land without magic” or someplace he needed to be. If it was the later, then I can see him being sent to Neverland. In the story of Peter Pan, Peter visited our world to listen to Wendy’s stories. Maybe he was visiting and somehow got stuck in our world, forcing him to grow up. He felt some attraction to Emma because they’re both from the Enchanted Forest and they had a fling. Then later he met August because he recognized another fairytale land person and they struck up a friendship.
If Hook turns out to have ran away with Bae's mom, it would come full circle for Bae to be Peter and have Hook as his nemesis. Plus, I think Rumple had something to do with cutting off Hook's hand. The whole Rumplestiltskin family intertwined with Captain Hook.
Yikes, if that's true, then the supposition of Emma and Hook being involved in the future would really light up Storybrooke.

October 6, 2012 at 1:46 pm #155679antbeeParticipantIn this story, they thought one of the clues was the French calendar on Mysterious Man’s apartment, and I was like French calendar, how could I have missed that. How sophisticated and arty of him, and maybe Bae could speak French with Belle and Moe.
Then, it turns out that it was just an album cover that’s already been pointed out and not a French calender. I know that WetPaint isn’t the most reliable site, but I thought they would have caught that since other stories examining Mysterious Man’s apartment have. Shame on them for getting my hopes too much by a new hint. 😀
The more I think about it the more I think our Mystery Man is Baelfire, Peter Pan and Henry’s dad. I do wonder if the bean took Bae to “a land without magic” or someplace he needed to be.
I keep going back and forth on this. I sort of want him to be just Bae because Emma is only Emma. If he has to be someone else, I’d rather he be Jack because he was connected to the magic beans, and he wouldn’t be the traditional Jack that we know. More importantly and I’m not sure I’m going to explain this right, but he’d still be Bae but known as Jack here whereas I think if he was Peter, he’d be Peter more than Bae.
Yes, that probably didn’t make sense, but I feel that Peter Pan just has all this mythology around it already that he’d be associated with being Peter more than Bae whereas the “Jack and the Beanstalk” story doesn’t really have that. Plus, Bae already fulfilled part of the Jack story already because he was naive like Jack in making a bad deal with his father and perhaps the Blue Fairy, if she has some kind of secret agenda going on, and he got the magic bean which lead him to a world full of giants. (Giant buildings, giant infrastructures, NY Giants, giant everything basically.)
Plus, while there wouldn’t be much age difference between the actors, it would still be a little too much like Rumbelle that Bae/Peter could be hundreds of years older than Emma if he was Peter Pan. One romance like that is fine, but I don’t want them to make Bae/Emma to be similar to Rumbelle in that way. Also, it seems so cliche for the female lead to get involved, break up, and then reunite with someone who has Peter Pan syndrome, so that’s another reason I’m not sure about the idea.
Sometimes the writing on the show isn’t exactly where it could be, I feel, so sometimes I’m worried about what they do. Sometimes I worry over nothing like Rumple turning out to be the Beast too. I don’t know. I admit there are a lot of clues that point towards Bae potentially being Peter, but I wonder if those are intentional or not because I’ve seen arguments with clues pointing towards him being the Wizard of Oz or now the White Rabbit or some other fairy tale character. So I won’t be surprised either way, I only hope that I like the end result.
