Well, in the play, Wendy tries to get Peter to come back with her and grow up. In the Disney movie Hook, Peter actually does this with Moira, Wendy’s grand daughter. So the twist is Emma being Wendy/Moira and successfully getting Peter to remain at the orphanage. I know it’s a long shot, but it certainly explains why Bae, who disappeared through the Vortex many centuries ago and would be hundred’s of years old like his father Rumple, could end up an adult in SB.

We all ready know his back story so if they didn’t have the not ageing thing, i’m not sure how he could be Peter, if that makes any sense.
September 18, 2012 at 3:46 pm #154042faux paxParticipantThere’s also another, simpler, explanation about how they all wound up here together even with the time difference.
Think about it. The entire curs was designed to bring Rumple here so he could find his son. Isn’t it probable that he designed the curse to bring them into the world at the same time as Bae was here. So when FTL was cursed to come here, it could be the same day (in the real world) that Bae showed up. Add in the twenty eight years where everyone inside of storybrook was completely unaware of time, and you get grown up Bae during the series.

GoldenKey- The whole thing with Bae being Peter Pan could very likely work…if Bae went to Neverland when he used the magic bean from BF and then at some point Bae/ PP crossed over from Neverland to our world (as we know PP could do) maybe he couldn’t get back to Neverland…so he remained in our world and started to age normally and met Emma…..September 18, 2012 at 3:53 pm #154044faux paxParticipant[quoteand then at some point Bae/ PP crossed over from Neverland to our world (as we know PP could do) maybe he couldn’t get back to Neverland…so he remained in our world and started to age normally and met Emma][/quote]
Interesting point Gypsy, but didn’t the blue fairy say that the world he was going to had no magic. Neverland does have magic. I still don’t see how that would work.
September 18, 2012 at 4:02 pm #154045tylerParticipantIs there magic in Neverland?? There are things we perceive as magical (fairies, etc), but besides Tinkerbell, I don’t recall there being any magic besides the not aging thing.
September 18, 2012 at 4:04 pm #154046faux paxParticipantBut wouldn’t the not ageing thing have to be caused by magic? and if there wasn’t magic then how can faeries do their thing? I mean there’s no magic and yet the sisters aren’t waving any wands…
September 18, 2012 at 4:07 pm #154047gypsyParticipantEverything ties together. Could be that the magic bean took Bae to the same room Jefferson’s hat took him and EQ. Bae didn’t know which door to choose. He chose the Neverland door by mistake and ended up in Neverland before ultimately coming to our world and meeting Emma….
September 18, 2012 at 4:09 pm #154048tylerParticipantIt’s all speculation at this point 😆

I do believe that the BF told Bae to remember to follow the bean wherever it led him. To me that implies that it led him to other worlds prior to arriving here, in a world without magic. Doesn’t mean that other places, prior to arriving here, did not have magic.
Another thing that I’ve considered. The writers love to put their twist on the stories. As I’ve said earlier, in Disney’s movie Hook, Peter Pan did indeed leave Neverland for Moira. Grew up with her and married her. So I don’t think it’s that far of a stretch.
Regarding Rumple creating the curse to arrive when Bae did, that would mean Rumple expected to arrive when Bae was 14. Yet Rumple mistakenly thought that August was Bae. August was a grown man and not a 14 year old boy. So somehow Bae had to make the transition from 14 to an adult man. Considering that he was “lost” many centuries ago, where else could he have done that but in Neverland. The bean led him there and he stayed through the centuries until the bean eventually ledhim to Emma at 14, remaining here and aging as Emma did.
Hope I’ve articulated this properly. But in my mind, it makes a lot of sense.
