No prob! 😀
There is something that I have been trying to picture in my head–when Neal/Baelfire?/Whomever his Counterpart is? got the postcard, he looked both shocked and afraid. There is obviously some guilt to how he handled things with Emma, but will he be able to explain everything to Emma? How will Henry react to him? If he is the son of Rumpelstiltskin, will he try to be forgiving, or will he be more angry at how he treated Emma and Henry. Granted Rumpelstiltskin was not cruel, but he was manipulative, and he did trick Emma into giving him the love potion and made her think Henry was dead.
And then there will be an issue with the whole Charming family as well, and how he will react to them and they to him. 🙂
Hi Elle…sorry it took me a while to back to this message. I think you have got some very good points. It will be interesting to see how Emma and Snow react to Rumple when they get back to Storeybrooke. I think it is wonderful that Rumple loves Baelfire…but he was willing to put everyone else through torment with their own families and children to put his relationship first…I’d be one mad Momma!
As to Neal’s reaction… I went back and watched the pilot episode to compare Emma’s reaction to seeing Henry with Neal’s reaction when he got the postcard. The reactions are very similar to each other. Emma steps in the bathroom…not looking very happy, comes out and basically goes straight to the phone to call the police. Later on Henry tells her that she is pushing him away because she feels guilty…I think this is similar to the reaction we see in Neal.
As to their reunion…I don’t think it is going to be wine and roses. After re-watching the pilot I am amazed at the way it fits with what we learned in Tallahassee.
Ryan compared to Neal
Ryan embezzled from his employer – Neal stole watches from his employer
Ryan got arrested – Emma got arrested instead of Neal
Ryan skipped town before they were able to put him in jail – Neal skipped town to avoid arrest
Ryan’s wife loved him so much she bailed him out – Emma loved Neal so much she took the risk to get the watches
Ryan repaid his wife’s loyalty by going on a date – From Emma’s perspective, Neal repaid her loyalty by turning her in.
Music starts – the song is Howlin’ for You (howling for revenge) – Emma the bail bondsperson starts pursuing the “thief”…in other words, she has made a career out of catching people who skip out those who have trusted them.
Ryan says he can pay Emma the money and Emma says he doesn’t have money but if he did he should give it to his wife to take care of his family – From Emma’s perspective, Neal took the $20,000 for himself, leaving her (and little unborn Henry) to fend for themselves.
He hurt her so much she totally built a life around catching guys like him…I think it is going to be a VERY interesting reunion.

Personally, I think we’ve already seen adult Baelfire in the form of Neal Cassady. I think most people have pretty much guessed that Baelfire will be Henry’s father. But what interest me the most is what will be his next move? Is he coming to Storybrooke? Does he want to reunite with Emma and Henry? Does he even know about Henry? And what are his goals in regards to his father. Does he want to help break his curse? Does he want to help send everyone back to the Enchanted Forest? So many questions, so little time…

I know more stuff fits the ‘Henrys father’n all’ theory. But- one can have hope.November 16, 2012 at 12:51 pm #160986an empty heartParticipant@medchen wrote:

I know more stuff fits the ‘Henrys father’n all’ theory. But- one can have hope. The Peter Pan theory was a theory that I subscribed to for a long time, but after a while, the idea became less and less plausible.
November 16, 2012 at 1:03 pm #160988gypsyParticipantNow that they revealed Henry’s father’s name to be Neal Cassady, there’s even more reasons for me to believe he is Peter Pan.
November 16, 2012 at 2:26 pm #161004faux paxParticipantGypsy, I don’t see the connection. Can you elaborate.
November 16, 2012 at 2:58 pm #161006gypsyParticipantThe real Neal Cassady was known as the Peter Pan of his time.
He did a documentary in the 60’s with the Grateful Dead “Magic Trip” where Neal drove the bus, named “Further” from San Fran to ‘NY.’
The Grateful Dead wrote a song about Neal and their trip, “The Other One”.
Some of the lyrics: “Cowboy Neal, at the wheel on the bus to Never Never Land”.There’s also a bus company that has been based in NY since the 1930’s- The Peter Pan Bus Co.
And a famous bakery in NY called Peter Pan Pastries.K&H are self proclaimed ‘Dead Heads” and created a fictitious band for LOST, based on the Grateful Dead, called Geronimo Jackson.
Emma has a Geronimo Jackson sticker on her car. Henry had a GJ CD in his backpack. Neal has a GJ sticker on his phone case.
So, by connecting all these together, I believe K&H named him Neal Cassady because of the Peter Pan clues associated with the name.
(and I also believe he’s Bae).Me and TheGoldenKey have added these clues to her Bae is Peter Pan and Henry’s father theory.
Also, Neal has a Dreamcatcher in his apt.
K&H are also huge Stephen King fans.
Stephen King wrote ‘Dreamcatcher’. In describing one of the main characters (the hero- Duddits Cavell) SK says: ” The fact that he has Down Syndrome makes him like Peter Pan.” (able to travel through worlds, albeit, telepathically)
November 16, 2012 at 5:56 pm #161047faux paxParticipantI see your point–their is a lot of evidence.
Personally i REALLY don’t like that theory, for three main reasons.
1) I would feel cheated if Bae wound up going to a land with magic. It would kind of defeat the purpose of what he was trying to do (and come on, if he was in a different land, do you really think Rumple would have tried so hard to get here?)
2) Bae being Peter would make things far too easy. Kids generally don’t hold grudges as well as an adult. After the reunion it wouldn’t be long until Rumple had a Kid Bae back. And they and belle could all be a big happy family by the end of the session. I like Rumple and I want him to have his happy ending, but I want him to EARN it, and he has a LONG way to go.
3) Bae and Peter’s personalities don’t match up. Peter was a child who shied away from responsibility, craved adventure, and never wanted to grow up. Bae is almost the opposite. But I do trust K&H. If they do wind up playing it this way, i have a feeling it will still be EPIC even if it’s not what i want.
November 16, 2012 at 6:05 pm #161051hooks spyglassParticipantI personally do not believe Neal is Peter Pan but I do belive he is Bae, i thhink when August went looking for Emma and found he in cohoots with Neal, he started digging into Neal’s background, found som inconsistencies and figured it out. We have only been shown parts of this story, we dont know how much conversation went on between August and Neal. Its also a safe bet after Emma got out of Juvie she went to Tallahasse to find Neal, she spent 2 years there , there is also 10 years of emma’s life we have not seen.
November 16, 2012 at 6:50 pm #161062gypsyParticipantOh, I know, it wouldn’t be the first time I was led down the wrong ‘rabbit hole’ by following clues from K&H 🙂
I just think those are pretty interesting connections to the name.Even if he doesn’t turn out to be Peter Pan, I do still think he will turn out to be Bae.
