Me too! I can’t wait to see Robert Carlyle and Michael Raymond James together in one room.
I hope they hint at that int he promos beforehand. I would really need to prepare my feels…
I just hope we don’t have too wait too long to see their reunion. Vampirefan12 tweeted Jane Espenson about Neal coming to SB and she replied “what makes you think he’s coming to SB?”. I’ve seen her tweet that to someone else as well.
I think we’ll see Emma fulfilling Rumple’s favour and reuniting with Neal OUTSIDE of SB before we see Neal in SB seeing dear old Papa.

ParticipantI agree! I think Jane’s tweets and K&H’s podcast are hinting towards more of Neal’s life before he gets to SB. Kind of a bummer that he’s kept away for so long – but then again, more Neal backstory would be great.
Plus, if Emma is forced to go and fetch “Rumple’s son”, I think her reaction would be quite scary if he happens to be Neal. I actually think it would be better – on Bae/Neal’s part – if he went to SB by himself, rather than hiding away and letting Emma find him. (Because if he knew the curse was broken and still didn’t come back….that’s kind of a jerk move.)
Another possibility: I think it would be adorable if Henry somehow found about Neal and went to find him. Yeah, probably won’t happen since Henry has a whole town watching over him. But one can hope.
Imagine Neal walking home from work to find an 11-year old on his doorstep. Drama!

Am I the only one hoping that Baelfire will still be a boy and come flying out of the skye in best Peter Pan style ?
I know more stuff fits the ‘Henrys father’n all’ theory. But- one can have hope.Oh, you’re not.
I’m really really really hoping against hope that they bring Dylan back somehow. In flashbacks (maybe they can flash between young Bae in this world and present-day Neal) or back as a 14-year old (unlikely). I really enjoyed the scenes between Rumple and his son last year….but I guess there really isn’t more to say about their relationship in FTL.

I know more stuff fits the ‘Henrys father’n all’ theory. But- one can have hope.I really hope they don’t do this for a plethora of reasons, but mainly, it’s because It would make things too easy for Rumple. Kids don’t hold grudges like adults and it would make it almost like Rumple never left. I mean if (from Bae’s prospective) he and his father are reunited moments after he is out of the vortex then the abandonment isn’t going to registered near as well then as if it were 15-20 years for him.
I want Rumple to have his happy ending, but I want him to EARN it and having baby Bae back would make it too easy. Of course I would love to see more of Dylan, but I hope it’s only flashbacks.

ParticipantGood point. I don’t want an instant happy ending for Rumple, either (as much as I hate to admit it, being an obsessed Dearie.) I still think they could do a lot with a young-ish Baelfire though, seeing as Rumple brought magic to SB and obviously Bae will NOT be pleased about that. Also young Baelfire could have pretty interesting interactions with the Blue Fairy, Hook, and of course, Belle. And Henry! But anyways, Neal is probably Bae, so like I said…I’m just hoping against hope.
I do hope they bring back Dylan in flashbacks, though.
On a related note, does anyone else think this show needs more kids? Just a few more like they had in Season 1, because it might help relate the stories to the younger audience watching the show with their parents. Henry’s fantastic – but what about Grace, or Hansel and Gretel? (shrug)

I saw this OUATconfession on tumblar where someone said they wanted an Epp where the kids (henry, grace, hanzel, gretal) all have to team up and save the adults for some reason and i was like “YES!!” I think it would be Epic even if i’m not sure how they would justify it plot wise.
I do hope they show Henry having some friends. He needs them.
One character I really hope they do (but they probably won’t) is a Henry-aged Mordrid. I mean they have already put in Lancalot so we know they’re going for round table legends and eventually they’re going to need more bad guys. Morgana could be so bad-butt.
And for some reason I see a grown up Bae taking him under his wing. I mean he would understand the whole having a crazy parent deal…

ParticipantSo if by some odd chance, Neal IS NOT Bae, am I the only one who would kind of like to see him with Regina…you know, just as a kind of slap in the face to Rumple?

ParticipantI think a bigger slap in the face would be for Bae to work with Hook or Cora. Rumpel and Regina seem to be working together (once again), so I don’t think Bae allying himself with Regina would be that bad. Regina doesn’t have any plans of revenge against Rumpel right now, so they seem to be back in frenemies territory.

THIS!
If he’s not Neal, maybe Bae would be the one who helps Rumple bring Henry to SB in the first place? We don’t necessarily know that SB arrived to the world at the same time as Bae so he could be any age now! Bae could be working for Cora in delivering her plan and would help bring Henry to SB even if just to see his father again (but without revealing himself – firstly, if Cora told him all the horrible stories about Rumple wrong doings in FTL, he wouldn’t probably want to give Mr Gold a chance, secondly, he could be waiting until the curse was broken so he can talk to the real Rumple… )November 23, 2012 at 10:11 pm #161876the fairest

ParticipantTo be honest, I don’t think Baelfire is going to be too concerned with what Cora, Regina or Hook are doing. If he is in fact Neal, then he probably won’t be allying himself with either of them. I know we don’t know much about him, but I don’t see him as someone who would willingly team up with someone like Cora or Hook. And like Midnight Dreary has already stated, Rumpel and Regina seem to be back on “friendly” terms again.
But if he isn’t Neal, then I still don’t see him working with Cora, Hook or Regina. I always kind of viewed Bae as this omniscient presence who’s been standing back and watching everything happen until it came time for him to intervene (kind of what Neal has been doing).
