I'm kind of interested in what the counter argument is going to be now, since so many people seem to hate the thought of Neal being Bae. I've loved the theory since last spring and have been ready to call it a reality…but what will haters say?
Oh, pooh!pooh! on the haters! 😆 I think the only ones who aren’t thrilled about this are the younger Hook fans. Understandably, as they are crushing on a handsome young fellow. However, those of us that have been waiting for this since last winter/spring can jump up and down for joy! Finally, we delve into what happened to Bae!
I wonder if Gold was able to leave due to Emma’s magic protecting him from all memory loss?
Anyhoo, can’t wait!!!!! 😀 😀 😆 😆 😀 😀
I read somewhere on this site that it might actually be related to henry. He is special and was unaffected by the curse. I have a hard time picturing Emma bringing Him in a potentially dangerous situation without a good reason.
I think if it is because of Henry that would be a marvelous twist to the story. Yes, it is strange that she would bring Henry, especially if she knew all the circumstances surrounding the situation. I wonder if she knew that Neal was Gold’s son? I mean, I don’t think Gold had a name for Bae in the real world. Quite possibly Emma just thought she ran into Neal by accident and perhaps didn’t realize that Neal was actually Gold’s son until Gold showed up and Neal started running. Just love where this season has been taking us. 😀

ParticipantGuys! I found more good stuff. It looks like Neal might have been in Storybrooke before
One thing’s for sure: Regina probably won’t be happy when yet another parent appears out of nowhere to vie for Henry’s love. “I think she’s going to be very surprised when she learns who the father is,” Parrilla teased. Interesting! Might Regina have encountered Neal before? “Possibly,” she added, a sly gleam in her eye. – Yahoo News

ParticipantI wouldn’t be surprised if Neal visited Storybrooke at some point. Given the fact that he started working with August after he separated from Emma, I think the possibility of him visiting Storybrooke during the curse is very possible.

ParticipantI’m cool with it as long as it doesn’t mean that Neal knew about Henry.

ParticipantAgreed! If they try to pull the storyline that Neal knew about Henry and planted his son in Storybrooke to break the curse – I will be most unhappy with this character! 😥

Or, it could mean that she met him sometime before the curse. If the theory that he's Peter Pan pans out (gosh I like saying that 😆 ) then perhaps she met him in the EF or in Neverland. They've already shown her meeting Hook in the EF so why not Bae/Peter? Maybe Hook told her about Peter and she realm jumped over to Neverland. Only saying this because we do see Hook along with Smee who is holding young Bae's cloak. Now there are pictures of Gold with the same cloak wrapped around his neck. So it certainly seems clear to me that many people had knowledge of Bae/Peter's whereabouts and kept it from Rumple.

That could work and I like it. It could make Regina's and Hook's revenge against Rumple be a process. Regina figures out Peter Pan is Bae–maybe not by name necessarily is Rumple's son. Maybe part of Hook's plan after learning that Peter is Rumple's son is to antagonize Peter to have believe that Rumple has forgotten him and use Rumple's actions to make Bae disappointed.
So now with Regina and Hook in Storybrooke their somewhat partnership is have Hook tell Rumple about Peter either to tell him he fell in love (Wendy), had a family, died and has descendents or that Peter only recently left Neverland some years ago–at more than 10 years for the Bae is Neal theory. The nice part of this is that Hook can then go after Belle–not that it's nice just plan wise and rid of Rumple's loves then go after Rumple and for the kicker if Bae is Neal tell him that Rumple killed Milah

ParticipantI’m torn about Baelfire being Neal. Also I have a theory that Neal is not Baelfire and Ethan Embry’s character that comes to Storybrooke is the real Baelfire and the writers will throw us a twist and reveals that Ethan’s character will be Baelfire. Also with Gold being in New York City with Emma and Henry. It kinda makes sense if the writers throw us a curveball and make Ethan’s character Baelfire and it would be sad if he does turn out to be Baelfire because his father is not in Storybrooke. If Ethan’s character is Baelfire, I hope Belle and him become friends and he will eventually tell her the truth and that he is Rumpel’s son. After learning this, Belle tries to find a way to contact Rumpel and tell him that his son is in Storybrooke.

ParticipantI think Neal is Bae. They already pulled the mysterious man could be Bae card with August.

ParticipantSuch a point was made that August didn’t look like Bae – has me thinking that Bae is going to be a dead ringer for young Baelfire. Between Ethan Embry (who in the one photo I’ve seen on set is VERY much a ginger: red head, blue eyes) and MRJ – think It’s pretty obvious…
