ParticipantI am posting this in spoilers because I will be adding spoilers from interviews.
I do not make this post lightly. I know how devestating it was to lose Baelfire. I would not raise hopes if I did not think this was solid.OMG! Baelfire!!! I went back….Quiet Minds. YES…his nostril moved…twitched! Netflix 39:08.
He always taught the cons!
The stumble against the door to alert Emma when she is snooping in Tamara’s room. He taught her that. She taught Henry.
When they were robbing the convenience store…where he got the necklace. Emma has a big fake pregnancy and let’s out a loud fake scream as she stumbles.
Emma and Neal walking talking…phone call…Neal should be dead!
On cue…he screams and stumbles. 29:32
He gives Emma the swan necklace. Remember…the one he swiped when they pulled the fake pregnancy con.
Watch…39:08. I was on Netflix.
His nostril twitches. You may have to look several times but once you see it you can’t un-see it.
Where is he? I don’t know. Did he transfer himself into the necklace? Into Rumple’s ring? Into Rumple? Or did he have a little O2 in his casket and just get himself up after the funeral? Regina has a whole room under her dad. Remember when they threw that last shovel of dirt on him. We saw it fall because we were looking from his point of view.
Remember last night when Roni and Lucy were standing at the two fake headstones and said he thinks there really is someone in there?
So why do this? Why pull a Tom Sawyer?
I have two thoughts…

I’ve said we have something like the Truman Show going on. If so, the showrunner could have manipulated the story and the Baelfire character is off the show. I’ve said I think the big bad is Snow White.

If we have something like a type of Truman Show…someone manipulating and playing with lives to tell the stories of their choosing…the only place Rumple and Baelfire can have a conversation and plan the way to sleuth out the true evil, without being overheard, is inside the shared mind.

The best line from the Truman Show,You never had a camera in my head.
First we had Granny said something about stripping the thread…baelfire ia to remove a person’s thread. Then the music had a Neal Baelfire feel to it. But it was Henry’s call to himself…the phone call from a friend and the phrase home is not a place…always be with you. I immediately thought of Baelfire. The words were so similar to what Neal said to Emma in the Bug before she went to the Underworld…and so similar to what he said before he died.
Think about it…it explains everything…why Rumple didn’t try hardly at all to save him…why his goofy scream and fall was so comically on cue.
So now I feel like I need to rewatch…looking for him in the fuzzy background…trying to figure out where he is. He is watching.
I don’t think they would get our Hopes up just to dash them. Four years ago I wrote a thread, Regina wants to Baelfire Zelena.” There is some great discussion on the similarities with WOT. Go back and read the comments…I can’t believe I am getting my hopes up.

ParticipantIt would be the easiest thing in the world to bring Neal back, but they aren’t going to. They could just have him not be dead. They have created this terrible story though and they are sticking with it.
Also, even if they do some last minute trick writing, it doesn’t fix the last five seasons of nonsense.

ParticipantI think we are going to find he has been there all along watching over them and working to figure out who the big inside job. And yes…I wholeheartedly agree. I would rather have had Baelfire/Neal on the show than the cleverest story an author could spin. The only thing that would make up for it would be a complete reboot with Michael Raymond-James.

ParticipantNeal in the Black Fairy’s mine?! We see this (Neal?!) face right after Gideon says to Roderick…I thought you were dead!
The Black Fairy was Baelfire’s grandmother.
We saw Rumple and Neal clasp hands before Neal died. Rumple is at Neal’s tombstone talking to his son and a fly is perched on Rumple’s finger..it even crawls around. Dark Fairy dust turns someone into an insect! I think the fly is Neal! In Mother’s Little Helper (where we see Neal in the mine?!), this is the episode where Emma is attacked by the big monstrous spider and Emma is wrapped up like a fly! In Bleeding Through, Regina has a picture of a horse wearing a fly mask. She and Zelena are talking about Super Powers.
Remember when Snow White was going to be burned at the stake and we thought she was dead but she escaped as a bug!
Neal drove a VW Bug! When we see him in New York he walks past a buggy! His funeral is in the episode, It’s Not Easy Being Green! When he and Emma meet and go to the motel he looks at the dreamcatcher and says, “Flypaper for nightmares”.
When Baelfire arrived at the Darling’s he was dressed very similar to the kids in the Black Fairy’s mine…down to the hat.
