In episode 2×15 “The Queen is Dead”, the Blue Fairy’s wand burst from her hand when she tried to break the barrier spell protecting Mr. Gold’s shop. She was unsuccessful. However, in the next episode 2×16 “The Miller’s Daughter” there seemed to be no barrier spell protecting Mr. Gold’s shop, as Emma was needed to create one to protect everyone inside. So which is it? Was Blue Fairy faking that there was a barrier spell, was Mr. Gold faking that he needed Emma to create a barrier spell so as to build her confidence (was that fools chaulk?), or was it merely an oversight by the writers?
[adrotate group="5"]March 13, 2013 at 1:04 am #179508RumplesGirlKeymasterThe Blue Fairy is the most ineffective fairy ever. I’ve been a fan for quite some time now that she’s up to something and there many things about her that we don’t know yet.
Or she’s badly written. As the greatest good in the land, the highest and oldest power for good, in a show that is all about good defeating evil, the fact that she can’t get past a dark magic barrier spell bothers me.

Or possible that he had to deactivate it for them to get into the shop, and didn’t have the strength to put it back up; Emma’s just learning so hers might not be as strong as his. Cora said that using Rumple’s magic would kill him faster, so it makes some sense.

Yea, I don’t like her either it was strange that Cora could save part of FL but the BL couldn’t do nothing and apparently still can’t do nothing maybe this is another big pothole that the writers screwed up on because it doesn’t make sense that she can’t seem to do anything but Cora and Regina can do more. 😕

We could be wrong and the Blue Fairy could be suspicious since I like to blame stuff on her, but I think it just needed to be reset like an alarm system and Gold was too weak to do it.

March 13, 2013 at 2:16 am #179533RumplesGirlKeymasterIf Rumple deactivated it, that’s fine. It’s the Blue Fairy couldn’t undo it at all before Rumple and co. every came back from NYC.

March 13, 2013 at 2:19 am #179537RumplesGirlKeymasterI think there is a side door that leads into his office. It’s the same one August used to try and get into Rumple’s office in “The Return” while Henry distracted him in the main part of the shop.
