Indulge me for a sec, but how in the realms did Rumple know where & when to find his son?
And when did the whole heart ripping out begin? Could Rumple have taken Bea’s heart out before the whole beanstalk incident sencing that Bea was slipping from him? It would fit within his character/conduct.
Rumple would never harm Bae, at least not intentionally.

Keeper of FelixBut isn’t the taking of a heart not always about killing the person but a,way to control them?
But Rumpel has never expressed a desire to control Bae. He only wanted to protect him.
I agree, Rump would never intentionally harm his son. Regina and Rump are very similar in that they would never directly harm their children but don’t realize that their evil actions have indirectly caused more harm to their children than what they try to “save” them from.
Rumple loves Bae. Controlling someone isn’t love.
Cora never took Regina’s heart even though she could’ve and it would have made it easier to control Regina. Why didn’t she? Because Cora loves Regina in her own twisted way.

Keeper of FelixGood point. Most of the storyline is anybody’s guess. But bouncing theorists around sure is fun
If Rumple had taken Bae’s heart and controlled him, Bae would’ve never left in the first place.
Plus, Rumple didn’t take Belle’s heart to control her, when he could’ve.
There’s 2 people in the entire universe Rumple will never intentionally hurt… Bae & Belle

I agree. I can’t see Rumpel physically harming Baelfire.
