Beating Heart theory

Okay, new theory.

Three sisters.

Snow is Elsa’s cousin based on beating heart.

Lots of reasons.

Dead parents heading to Enchanted Forest to get help for Elsa – so they are familiar with the Enchanted Forest for some reason.  Like maybe Momma Ice has family there.

Anna says her parents have big issues with magic – kind of like Bae did?  Like when someone in your family goes bad because of it you have big issues with it?  But then if you discover your  own child has magic they can’t control you might go to find help somewhere you have family where there is also magic?

Anna/David Snowing parallels – not in an icky Annid shipping way, just in a way that should remind us of Snowing to make us think of Snow.

1. How David was standing when he was talking to Anna about her engagement ring – similar to how he stood in front of Snow talking about what would eventually become her engagement ring in season 1.

2. When Anna jumped on David in the barn and almost hit him “Oops.”  Similar to “You’re a girl!”  Snowing first meeting.

3.  Lingering camera shot of Ruth’s hand with Snow’s future wedding ring while she is holding Anna’ s hand giving her the paper with Rumple’s name.

There are others but I would have to go back and pull them up.

So I think Momma Ice, Snow Queen, and Ava are sisters.  Snow Queen developed powers but wasn’t close to her other sisters so she took off and became isolated (like what would have happened to Elsa if she didn’t have Anna) and Momma Ice became Queen.  Ava decided she wasn’t special – didn’t have magic, wasn’t the Queen so she became a brat and took off for the Enchated Forest hoping to marry well to become special and she became a Queen herself until she was offed by Cora.

Rumple figures out that Anna is Snow Queen’s Niece and decides that he can either make a deal with her to somehow get the Snow Queen or Elsa so he can train them to enact the curse, or he thinks she must also have magic and he someone train her to enact the curse.

Somewhere in all of this Ava’s personality changes when she realizes that members of her family are in danger because people think they are monsters for having magic, either Snow Queen, Elsa, Anna, who knows.  But she develops her whole “we are no better no than any one else sickening sick philosophy on life” after developing feelings of remorse for not being there for her sisters when they needed her.

The heart.  Remember that David and Snow share a heart now.  (Barf bags are to your left, RG).  So Elsa couldn’t see Anna but she and David (and I wasn’t clear about Emma) could both hear a heart beat – right as Snow walked in the door.  Which would mean they were hearing the heartbeat of a family member of Anna.  And of course David would hear it because it’s his friggin’ heart too.  That family member would be cousin Snow.

Not clear why Snow Queen is in Storybrooke.  Maybe she thought she was the only one with special powers and goes after anyone who she thinks has power that is stronger than hers?  No idea.  Maybe that is why she could potentially be a threat to both Emma and Elsa?  And maybe that was also what Anna and Elsa’s parents were trying to get help for.  Maybe they knew that Snow Queen would come after Anna Elsa once she learned about her powers and maybe they were trying to find out if there was a way to defeat her and Rumple accidentally corked the wrong sister??
