I read in twitter that Colin O’Donoghue was supposed to be there filming yesterday but didn’t show up. Hope nothing else happened to him! 🙁
Yes, I saw that. There are even a couple of people out there now asking Adam Horowitz to fire him and find somebody else to be Captain Hook.
Which is completely uncalled for. Who is even saying he was meant to be there? Someone with actual authority and intimate knowledge of the shooting schedule? Or some random on Twitter who heard from someone who heard from someone else who heard from someone else that apparently Colin was due to be filming, but no one happened to see him? Just because he wasn’t seen, doesn’t mean he wasn’t working. People need to pull their heads in and show the showrunners, and Colin, some respect.

If Whale is on the ground, I think it’s very possible he’s about to die.
I dunno, the pose with his hands up sorta looks like he’s fallen down frozen and/or stunned or something like that. That’s why I was wondering if the blue mat is a special effects something or other, because perhaps they plant to add some glowy, magic-y something or other around him? I’m not assuming he’s dead just yet. David looks too cheery between takes to be filming his character’s death scene. The VanCityFilming Twitter suggested they’d be revealing some of the dialogue in a post on their site today.
[adrotate group="5"]March 14, 2013 at 12:53 pm #179866RumplesGirlKeymasterLet’s not go too wild on the Colin speculation. For all we know the scene he was supposed to shoot was rescheduled or delayed, or maybe he wasn’t actually supposed to be on the set at all. We don’t know the great inner workings of how this show works. I hesitate before taking anything Twitter reports seriously.

Someone was tweeting live from on-site, and had learned he was supposed to be filming later in the day. As for respect. these people are not Gods. Let’s not treat them like they are, ok?
March 14, 2013 at 12:58 pm #179869RumplesGirlKeymasterPhee: Yes his hands are up, but Emilie is also laughing and RC is looking really casual, as if the photographer just happened to catch one relaxed moment. I’m not sure if the hands up is indicative of being magicked or it just so happens that’s what David Anders was doing at that precise moment. However, I will grant that the blue mat does seems to indicate something CGI-y. So then the question becomes who is magicking Whale? I have no idea why Rumple would unless it’s because Whale was trying to hit on Lacy, so it could be Regina if she stays the EQ for the rest of the season.

Treating someone with common respect doesn’t equate to treating them like a God. The people actually producing the show are the only ones who actually know all the facts about the production schedule for the show, and they’re professionals who know how to do their jobs just fine. People who aren’t in a position to know the proper facts, taking one little rumour and running to the showrunners to tell them to fire the actor is disrespectful.

Yeah, I’m thinking if anyone does anything to Whale, it’d likely be Regina. She’s gonna be on the rampage and I don’t imagine she cares much about what she does to anyone at this point in time. Perhaps Rumple and Lacey will find him like that and Rumple will fix him?
March 14, 2013 at 1:08 pm #179872RumplesGirlKeymasterIf Regina stays the Big Bad for the rest of the season which seems odd to me given that there are pics from 19 where she and Emma are sitting together on a bench then why are we going to Neverland?? And how does Greg fit in? I thought for sure Regina would mellow out by 20 and then the final two episodes would revolve around Greg/HER and the Outside world.

That’s a possibility, but unless Lana Parrilla was shooting with David Anders in an earlier scene, I think Dr. Whale was knocked down by Mr. Gold for hitting on Lacey or fell down on his own accord.
Also, I can’t believe the immaturity level of some fans who were calling for the producers to fire Colin O’Donoghue, just because they were disappointed not to see him film in a scene he may or may not have been scheduled to film! 🙄 Even if Colin was due to make an appearance, actors’ schedules change all the time, but that is no reason to be so juvenile. That is beyond disrespectful; it’s just unforgivably rude. Colin has already been confirmed repeatedly not only to return by the season’s end, but he’s going to have his own backstory told in flashbacks! What more do the so-called “Hookers” want? I suppose the people calling for the actor’s resignation are probably teenagers, because there is just no excuse for adult fans to be so rude.

I agree it isn’t very nice, but the calls are out there. My personal preference is that we get to keep Colin around on the show for a long, long time. Personally though, I’d rather have a Hook — any Hook — than no Hook.
As for respect: Nobody owes Colin O’Donoghue anything. Nobody owes Once Upon A Time anything. Colin O’Donoghue doesn’t owe his fans anything, except a “thank you”, and he did that at Paleyfest.
If something did happen to Colin, or anybody else on the show (no speculations here, I’m just speaking in generalities), I do hope that if they desire respect, that they will be equally respectful of the hearts they invited themselves into. If anything were to ever happen to anybody on that show (God forbid), I don’t want for the poor little girls who have so much affetion for these people to be left feeling like somebody charmed themselves into their room (their heart), ransacked it, and then told them it’s their job to clean it up.
We’re taking this conversation off-topic though, so let’s go back to talking about he subject at hand.
I knew the EQ was not going to be redeemed. Not for long, anyway. If Rumple remains the Dark One, he won’t either. As for the EQ next season, I get the feeling she’s going to be a whole new definition of bad that we haven’t seen yet. I knew that, when we figured out it was Cora who’d be killed in Miller’s Daughter. Regina’s going to want everybody to pay for that, and I think the action is just getting started.

I hope he fell down on his own. Do we really want Gold punching people? Even if it is for Lacy? Is that what is going to bring back Belle?? Defending her honor is fine but I’m not sure how Belle (or Lacy) would react to violence.
