As I drive home from work listening to the various OUAT podcast it came to me now that Belle does not remember who she is or who Gold is I began wondering how this arc will resolve.
I am creating a poll with some of the options that I think might occur. Vote for the one you think might work…. Post any other options I might have left out as a resolution to this dilemma .
Post any comments if you want to explain your vote or ideas .
I could not get poll creator to work correctly so I numbered the options
1–Belle will be terrified, dislikes Gold and he has to let her go to live her life.
2–True loves kiss will waken Belle
3–Belle will not regain her memory & fall in love with another person.
4–Gold will need to woo Belle and make her fall in love with him all over again.
5—By working to get Belle’s memory back; Gold will redeem himself.
6–Belle returns to her father’s home.
7—Gold takes easy way out and devises a new spell / potion.
8– Belle starts a new life without Gold.

I don’t think True Love’s kiss will work in this instance. if it did, then it’s going to be hard to look for Sleepy’s true love. my guess would be Robitussin), so yeah, true love’s kiss is out of the question in my mind.
i remember when hook shot belle, rumple said ” what you did can’t be undone”… if we know rumple well, he will turn to magic for help… but who knows, maybe he is willing to change and do the hard way, start all over again with belle…. how can the beauty live a life without the beast?
I have to wonder if while Rumple is busy in NY if Hook & Belle won’t end up bonding while in the hospital together. What a twist that would be! Ultimately, we want to see an end with Rumbelle but so much can happen before that.

I think more than one of those will be correct. Belle will initially be terrified. Rumple will likely have to woo her and earn her love all over again in order for true love to bring back her memory. And I think Rumple will become a better person through his efforts to get Belle back (although I can imagine him attempting to use magic first). I do believe they will end up together in the long run- at least one can hope.

My, my, I hadn’t considered this. Hook and Belle in the same hospital, Hook using his charms to manipulate Belle into falling for him because she would essentially be “meeting” Hook for the first time. Hook wouldn’t be genuine, of course, but the idea of a romantic development between the two would be even more devastating to Rumple. If Hook wanted revenge, that would be one way to go about it, wouldn’t it? By taking away the one thing Rumpel really cares about.
I voted for Rumple wooing Belle resulting in her falling in love with him all over again. Then they share true love’s kiss. After all, True Love is the most powerful magic of all.
