It still doesn’t really rationalize why they left one person behind. The family went. Even Hook because I would consider him family too. Belle is family, she’s Rumple’s true love. I’m sure if someone had said, “We need the BF” her plot device-y self would have popped up and done what Rumple needed. But oh no! Let’s break up one of the most popular ships AFTER they’ve spent how long apart!?

Regarding the BF, I see her as being a huge plot device, although I still think she is the Sneaky Fairy. Maybe the BF foresaw that Baelfire and Emma were the key to producing Henry, who is prophesied to be the Dark One’s Undoing. The BF and Rumple have an acrimonious relationship, so if she saw a way to get rid of Rumple’s powers, then perhaps the BF has been working behind the scenes to ensure Henry was born by sending Bae to London, but she foresaw he’d end up in NL. That look of glee the Blue Fairy had in her eyes in “The Return” when she gave Baelfire the magic bean just seemed so intentional and well, sneaky. So, after Blue indirectly sent Bae to NL, she made sure that her fellow fairy, Tinker Bell, would look after Bae, knowing he’d eventually find his way to Earth, meet Emma, and they’d conceive Henry. The Blue Fairy also conveniently turned August back into a little boy before he could divulge who wrote Henry’s book or how he know Baelfire’s name. There are just so many loose ends, and I think they’ll all eventually point back to the BF in S3.

I won’t lie, I don’t see my hurt being abated anytime soon. People kept spreading this rumor over in the spoiler 222 section and every time I squashed it because I thought it was ridiculous. Cookies are appreciated. As are insights into when we can expect a reunion and WHY WHY WHY A and E would do this.

I still think Sneak Fairy is Sneaky but for the past few episodes she’s been so Plot Device-y (a potion with August’s hair? I mean really? that’s the solution?) that having her pop up at the boat would have made total sense given how they present her this season.

Well, last season was the Snow/Prince Charming being torn apart and finding each other again, several times. Looks like S3 will follow the same theme for Rumble & Belle. 😆

Seriously though, I feel that Belle will actually be a major character this season. She’s been too wimpy so far (except for her alter-ego Lacey) and it’s time to show her tough side. Think of the ramifications and turmoil that will occur after the near destruction of the town and the fact the leaders of the town sailed off to find Henry with the return unknown. King George may rear his ugly self. I expect there to be quite a power play in StoryBrooke, with Belle, Grumpy, Ruby and King George as central characters with some of Moe’s involvement.

S2 was Rumbelle angst

And apparently S3 will be Rumbelle angst as well. On top of CaptainSwanFire angst.

The problem with leaving Belle behind (besides the obvious) is that it’s too many balls up in the air. Now we have to deal with:

FTL of the past
FTL of the present with Neal and MAP
NL of the past
NL of the prsent
SB of the present

One of them has to be dropped for sanity, and I get the feeling it’s going to be Belle and SB.

I wish I could say I agree but unfortunately I doubt they’ll show much of SB until everyone returns from NL.
And at least in the first season with Snow and Charming they were developing the relationship and they were only separated for like an episode or so at a time. With Rumbelle we see them having a date like twice for one minute and then they’re separated for half a season, and now they’ll be separated for half a season again.

RumbelleDearie, I’m glad you’re as hurt as I am. I’m starting to fear that I’m far too invested in this couple and in Rumple in particular. He NEEDS her. Not only to fight the darkness but because why should HE be separated from his true love? Why? Doesn’t he get some happiness?? That’s the whole point of BandtheB. The Monster, the unloved, the unwanted find happy endings.
If I have to wait until Dec for a proper Rumbelle reunion and relationship, I’m going to be a very sad RG.

Actually I don’t see why they would have to show FTL of the past if they are in NL. I think they will only have:

FTL of the present with Neal and MAP
NL of the past
NL of the present
SB of the present

With the other core cast members in NL and only MAP and Neal in FTL, I really don’t see much in FTL past except for the immediate past when they saved Philip. I think Neal will end up with the others in NL fairly soon so I think we will see some of Belle in SB.
