I just can’t see the show ending that relationship. The coupling is too popular, and so many people would be so broken hearted if they did that. Rumple and Belle will eventually be back together. Maybe not this season, but I just don’t think they could ever “end” Rumbelle. Not permanently, anyway.
I am an incurable optimist. Maybe, nieve. I just prefer to look at the bright side of things, and I just don’t think they’d do that.

The way rumple almost cried when he walked towards it…and then he stopped and walked out the door. AHDSFASLKDF…. *cries* I like how he was like, if anything happens to belle while I’m away…I’ll kill all of you. He still cares about her, just cant bare to be around her like that. Thats why I’m wondering about the woo her back over thing….she is literally insane. How…? I do like that theory that Rumple will have to give up something huge for her to regain her memories….yeah. I hope they don’t drag this out.
If this was the end of Rumbelle….. it would be the end of me, and OUAT. They would be shot and killed by the faithful Rumbellers.
😥

The path to restoring Belle’s memory is pretty clear and it’s already been proven that they are indeed true love. So, I know in the end, things will shape up alright for them. I think this rift in their relationship is simply part of Rumpel’s redemption arc. In roder to fully redeem a character you must first strip him/her of all their comforts. Riches, power and loved ones. So, Belle losing her memory is just part of that and she’ll regain it once Rumpel has started making some changes. Like a few others have already speculated, Rumpel will have to make quite a few sacrifices to prove to Belle that he loves her. So this might turn out to be a good thing. Their relationship will definitely be stronger for it.

Now, what about super glue? If they glue chip back together does Chip live again? 😀 Sounds funny I know, but this is reminding me of Humpty Dumpty.
They could ask Doctor Whale ‘the Frankenstein to do that.
Imagine a monster cup- I guess it would do something like, make you drink green tea 😕
😛January 24, 2013 at 6:31 am #169846rumbelles true loveParticipantHi guys!
This is my first post in the forums so here goes 😀 I am actually not that worried about the braking of the cup (sacrilege for a Rumblle fan I know but). I think that although the cup was important to Rumple is was also a symbol of a time when he chose power over love in Skin Deep. If he had have chosen to believe Belle loved him in the first place the cup would not have as much importance as it does. I think it is really sweet and lovely that he kept it all those years but really the cup is just another reminder of Rumple bad choices. I think the smashing of the cup could start a new chapter for Rumple and Belle because Rumple is going to have to work extremely hard to earn Belle’s love and maybe this time round they may end up with a keepsake that is a symbol of unity and love rather than power.January 24, 2013 at 6:47 am #169847theeviloneParticipant@Rumbelle’s true love wrote:

Hopefully your right, I couldn’t even look at the TV as soon as I saw that cup fly. I shoved a pillow on my face and cried NOOO!!! 😥

I bet Rumple saved the pieces. I think he’ll put Chip back together for her. When that happens, I think it’ll be very a very sweet moment for them; when he gives Chip back to her.
He walked out and left the pieces there. I guess there’s a chance that perhaps Belle picked up the chips of Chip and will keep them, not really knowing why she had the urge to do it.
There’s a link in this thread: https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=2581 to and interview where Jane Espensen is talking about Chip: “Symbolism works one direction, not both directions. The cup symbolises the relationship, but that doesn’t meant that breaking the cup ends the relationship.” So it’s safe to say that this wasn’t the end of Rumbelle, so no one needs to worry about that.
I thought it was heartbreakingly perfect for Chip to get smashed at that point in time, and look forward to seeing how Rumbelle gets put back together.

I don’t think Chip was destroyed for good. I really don’t think Rumbelle is done at all. I just can’t imagine that they’d do that. We’ll just need to wait and see.
