True love is powerful, we keep hearing and we heard in this episode that NOW Gold (Rumple) has a weakness. The weapon to destroy Rumple IS Belle!
    Any other thoughts?

Yep, that would make sense. It could possibly destroy Rumple, and then he might probably turn into a big ball of fury and things wouldn’t look very pretty 😛

But… he already thought Belle was dead once. She dies again, he’s going to be pissed but is he going to be all that different than the last time?

I agree. He thought he dead once, and though he was miserable and beat her father up, he didn’t become crazed. 🙂 I think she is capableof bringing out the light him, just like Henry does with Regina, and even Emma to an extent.

I think Regina meant was that Belle was useful o keep around, to use her as leverage over Rumpelstiltskin if it was ever truly needed. Also, she probably enjoyed keeping Belle locked up. She hates Rumpelstiltskin, and she probably has a similar feeling with Belle, so anything that makes them suffer s enjoyable for her.

There's a new spoiler that Hook will be targeting Belle to get the attention of Mr. Gold, which supports the notion of Belle being Rumple's weakness.

You may think that once he drops anchor in Storybrooke, Hook might not have any friends in town. But thing again. Remember, the henchman Belle’s florist father hired was no less than Smee (played by Eureka‘s Christopher Gauthier), who is due to return after the holiday hiatus. “Smee will definitely play a part in Hook’s plans,” Colin O’Donoghue assured me. Speaking of the sidekick’s previous target, could Belle land in Hook’s hooks, as a way of getting back at his mortal foe Rumplestiltskin? “Belle is such a huge part of Rumple’s life…,” O’Donoghue agreed. “She might figure into the equation.”http://tvline.com/2012/12/06/supernatural-once-upon-time-spoilers/

Yes, I could defintetely see Hook using Belle against Rumpelstiltskin now that he’s in Storybrooke, but I don’t think that was originally his intent. I’m pretty sure he was referring to the dagger back in the Enchanted Forest.

Actually, losing Belle a second time would probably send Rumpel off the deep end. He got lucky that Belle managed to survive the first time around. If he loses her a second time, I think that would send him into a pychotic rage. Espeically if Hook has anything to do with it. I think a second death would break him.

I agree. Losing Belle a second time might break him.

that would explain the promo where rumple hit hook with his cane (much like when he thought Belle’s father was the reason for her untimely death)
