Belle already saw hook and he was not exactly mister nice guy to her.

This may be the Rumbelle shipper in me talking (and it probably is ), but I seriously doubt Belle would flirt or date another man. It just…It just…THIS CAN’T HAPPEN! *Gross Sobbing* 😥
December 14, 2012 at 8:23 pm #165055merryleeplayingParticipantI meant not Belle flirting with Hook. Just Hook being flirty with her and Gold seeing it.. She does not need to respond with her own flirting. Unless she happened to be realllly miffed at Gold for something. She might respond with a little coy smile or smirk, but then snap out of it. Just enough to get Gold’s attention. This would happen before Belle hears any backstory.

She knows what he can be like. He’s all sweetness and light with her but he can have a nasty temper on him with everyone else. Belle wouldn’t want to put anyone at risk just because she was angry with Rumple.

I do think if Belle died a second time Gold would just lose it completely. He didn’t handle it well the first time around. It was after she “died” that he seemed to step up and set the final steps in motion for his plan. It’s amazing to watch the earlier episodes with Rumple and he seemed to be getting more unhinged as the time came closer for the curse to be enacted. I also wonder if we’ll ever get an explanation of his drinking from the flask post-Belle but pre-curse. We really don’t see him drinking at any other point in the time line.
And she’s a key to breaking his curse. She’s a powerful weapon just in that sense. Regina tried to use it to manipulate Rumple into losing his powers so she could become the most powerful. It didn’t work.
I don’t think Hook will try anything romantic with Belle. She wouldn’t fall for it and I don’t think he’d even attempt it after knocking her out and trying to kill her. But the poor girl does have a habit of being confined and captured. It’s beginning to be the running joke of the series…what method can torture Belle with this week.

December 16, 2012 at 1:42 pm #165192PriceofMagicParticipantI wonder if Bae is going to be the key to Hook’s revenge against Rumple rather than Belle.
Rumple is going to be protective of Belle so he’s going to focus on keeping her safe from Hook and Cora. Belle and Rumple are being honest with each other so Hook and Cora won’t be able to get near to Belle without Rumple knowing about it. Their relationship is quite a close one.
If Neal is Bae, he’s not going to want Rumple protecting him. His relationship with Rumple is going to be rocky at best and last time Rumple “protected” him, it involved turning a guy into a snail and stepping on him. Without Rumple’s protection, Bae would be in quite a vulnerable position, one that Hook can manipulate.
I think they’re going to draw out Hook’s revenge to the end of the season. Hook’s been planning to kill Rumple since Milah’s death. He doesn’t seem the type to just sit round and do nothing whilst Rumple walks free. Something must happen to put Hook off killing Rumple until later on and that could be Hook deciding he wants to make Rumple suffer first.
Going after Belle wouldn’t work. She’s too close to Rumple, she knows not to trust Hook and Rumple would be protective of her. What Hook might do is make Rumple think he’s going after Belle which would make Rumple focus on Belle and distracted from Bae.
Reuniting with Bae is what Rumple wants most. What better way to make Rumple suffer than for Hook to get close to Bae whilst Rumple is left out in the cold. Bae is not close to Rumple and wouldn’t know anybody in town besides Emma and Rumple. Emma probably wouldn’t want to see him and Bae wouldn’t want to see Rumple so there is plenty of time when Bae would be alone and Hook can make his move.
There are two main things Hook and Bae can bond over: Milah and how Rumple has wronged them.
