    Yes, you did.

    An addiction is not love.

    Then, you said it is.

A heroin addict doesn’t stab themselves in the arm, or else where on the body, with a needle because they love it, they do it because they need their fix.

I said they DON’T stab themselves with a needle because they love it, they do it because they need their fix. As in love is NOT the reason they stab themselves with a needle, the need to get their fix is the reason they stab themselves with the needle.

    Okay, whatever.

Back to my original question, do Rumple and Belle still share true love –  despite the fact he is not cursed anymore?

Keep in my mind, the only true love’s kiss they shared was not a complete true love’s kiss. Belle’s kiss only started to change but him but it wasn’t a complete effect.

I think they do share true love hence why the kiss was working, but both parties have to believe. Rumple doesn’t truly believe he’s lovable. Rumple truly loves Belle and Belle truly loves Rumple but Rumple doesn’t believe Belle truly loves him.

Is it true love then?  I think in order for it to be true love, both parties have to truly believe that they love each other.  There shouldn’t be any doubt whatsoever in each person’s mind that they love each other.

With Rumbelle though, doubt exists.  Rumple doesn’t truly believe that Belle loves him even though she can tell him a million times that she does, he still doesn’t hear her.

Well they didn’t share true love just because he was cursed. They shared TL because Belle is able to look past and loves all parts of him, even those bits that belong to the darkness. It’s just in S4 she couldn’t be his enabler anymore because his actions were having some serious consequences on her friends and family. Him no longer being cursed doesn’t negate her feelings toward him.

Keep in my mind, the only true love’s kiss they shared was not a complete true love’s kiss. Belle’s kiss only started to change but him but it wasn’t a complete effect.

I agree with POM as to why it didn’t work in Skin Deep. Rumple has to believe that he deserves love and that somebody could really truly love him for it to work.

But, now there is no curse to break so they won’t get their giant Rainbow moment.

Rumple loves Belle. Belle loves Rumple. Rumple has an issue believing that Belle can love him because he sees himself as unlovable. The doubt lies not with Rumple’s feelings towards Belle or Belle’s feelings toward Rumple but Rumple’s perception of Belle’s feelings.

    I agree.

So, if Rumple were still cursed and Belle tried true love’s kiss again, would it work this time?

Right this very moment in the Onciverse? No. Why? Because Rumple is still incredibly doubtful about his ability to BE LOVED. He needs some self healing before another can come in and show their love for him.
