AGREED! He just can’t believe..AT ALL..that someone so HEROIC and NOBLE and TRUE could ever see him as anything but a monster. He’s used to the wicked being attracted to him–like Cora. Who was the Dark One’s match but never RUMPLE’S. But Belle sees them both and loves the BOTH. AND THEN SHE COMES BACK AFTER HE LETS HER GO.

Sometimes I feel like TPTB are just torturing us Rumbelle shippers because we want it so much and they just give us little crumbs to tease us like we’re starving creatures but with a promise of a buffet at some point in the future.

And the FACE of wonder that she’s even coming back. As he stands there IN HER LIBRARY THAT HE GAVE TO HER AFTER SHE BELIEVED IN HIM “knowing” that she’ll never come home becuase Milah never came home and Cora refused his offer of a home and his son never came home because of his actions and if she never came back it would be proof that no one could ever love him and then she freaking came back and there was a kiss and then SOME FREAKING MAGIC FREAKING HAPPENED AND /dissolves into madness

But he reaches out and touches her because he doesn’t believe she is real. And breaks down into a sobbing mess whilst we all break down with him. *sigh*
