(oh, and the tummy poof? I dunno, having worn bodices like that and seen them enough IRL, I think it doesn’t point to pregnancy at ALL. Perhaps a tiny bit of weight gain, but I don’t think it really looks any different–it poofs out a bit in Skin Deep, too, and the way it’s laced matters (it actually changes at an odd point in Skin Deep–it’s x laced in the conversations before she gets thrown back in the dungeon and then v laced in the final confrontation between them, so I’ve been toying with the timeline implications of her having relaced her bodice. I suspect that wasn’t meant to be a signal of anything, though–perhaps just a wardrobe mistake or someone deciding one or the other looked better for a scene–and who knows what was filmed in what order. ANYWAY…the angle you’re sitting at, the angle you’re looking from, the exact way you’re sitting–all affects the boning, and different boning materials curve in different ways, and Emilie’s not in the least fat but she does have a softer body–which I love, she’s not playing a hardcore athletic type and shouldn’t have rock-hard abs–so I think it doesn’t mean a thing, in short.)

I’m wondering if his lack of belief that she’ll continue loving him is the answer to why his curse isn’t broken yet. I think for a shining moment in FTL in Skin Deep, he let himself really believe–to the point that he was willing to sacrifice for her happiness (he let her go) and vice versa (she came back). He’s been too afraid to believe it could last since then, too guarded to give in to True Love.

I do think so. He has no experience with anyone staying with him to prove their love until Belle:

–Mother is MIA

–Father left

–Brother Peter left (if you follow certain theories)

–Milah left because he was a coward

–Bae wanted to leave (though this was largely not Bae’s fault, it still shakes Rumple obviously)

–Cora ripped out her own freaking heart! (*twitch*)

–And then Belle WHO CAME BACK! That’s the most significant part of Skin Deep for me. He let her go, the hardest thing for Rumple to do, and she CAME BACK.

And I thinks “she just wants to learn the monsters weaknesses.” So it can’t be true love because no one could ever love me. So she’ll leave me someday. Hence no with the smoochy smoochy.

(writing this made me tear up. Guys. I love Rumple. Like….this is not natural)

That’s a good insight, Keb. There has to be some reason that TLK worked for Charming in Storybrooke but not Rumbelle besides just the repeated saying, “Magic works different here.” He really might be holding a part of himself back. Look how it affected him the first time he thought Belle had died. It changed him, it destroyed him. He became unhinged and went into overdrive to invoke the curse. If he lets himself love her 100% what will happen if, or more to his way of thinking when she leaves him. Maybe he is still holding that part of himself back.

I’ve always wanted Belle to be the one to resurrect him after his “undoing” to mimic the story of “Beauty and the Beast” but part of me now is hoping it’s Nealfire who does it through his forgiveness. Somehow. I’m not flagging in my devotion to Rumbelle, but part of me thinks he has to deal with his demons about his father and Neal before he can fully commit to Belle.

I’ve always wanted Belle to be the one to resurrect him after his “undoing” to mimic the story of “Beauty and the Beast” but part of me now is hoping it’s Nealfire who does it through his forgiveness. Somehow. I’m not flagging in my devotion to Rumbelle, but part of me thinks he has to deal with his demons about his father and Neal before he can fully commit to Belle.

My headcanon is still Belle a la Beauty and the Beast. I need that moment. I’m ok with Nealfire is there too and helps but Belle is the only one who’s ever come back to him and stayed.

I still want her to do it, but I’m so conflicted now.

In most versions, including the Disney movie, it wasn’t her kiss that broke the curse, but her tears that saved him. Now it’s just a waiting game to see how it happens in Once…because you know it’s going to happen.

The ultimate twist would be if Rumple undid his own curse with self-forgiveness. He knows everything he does is wrong. He’s full of demons and insecurities. Maybe if he finally faces everything and comes out on the other side it could make his curse self-implode. Not going to happen, but it’s a different idea.

I agree that would be twisty but how does it translate to TV? Hm.

I really want Belle to get to NL. I think she needs to be there now.

My headcanon is still Belle a la Beauty and the Beast. I need that moment. I’m ok with Nealfire is there too and helps but Belle is the only one who’s ever come back to him and stayed.

I fully believe we’ll get that moment. I don’t know at what point, but they have to show it. It’s such an important part of the Beauty and the Beast story – just like Snow with the apple and Charming waking her up with TLK. They can’t just NOT show that, right lol? At the very least I want that dance!

I hope Belle does make it to NL, I think once Ariel comes into the picture that will be more likely, considering Ariel maybe can travel between the two lands and Belle becomes friends with her 🙂

I also think we’ll see “real” Belle in NL before the end. But I think Peter Pan might somehow be involved with getting her there to further mess with Rumple & family. No real reason, just a feeling I have. :/

You’ll appreciate this, I think. I had a dream last night that opened with Rumple and Pan in a clearing in NL. Pan has Henry and Bae and Belle and Rumple knows this. However, Pan offers to let three of them leave NL, with the intent clear that it be Rumple and two of his choice. So Rumple could take Bae and Belle and go and leave behind the boy and his undoing and essentially have everything he wanted; Bae wouldn’t even know it was Rumple’s choice and not Pan’s.

Of course, because it’s Pan and he’s tricksy, Bae and Belle are watching this, somehow kept silent, so if Rumple makes that choice, he’s ruining everything anyway. Because, hey, Pan really likes to mess with this family.

Rumple … agrees. (Bae, unheard: “Nooooooo!”) Then he tells Pan that the three he picks are Bae, Belle … and Henry. So he’s sacrificing himself. But Pan made the agreement, and has to let them go.

Then I woke up. 🙂

Very unlikely, but in my dream it was a great scene, and it’s my headcanon now until proven otherwise.

I really need Belle in NL by the end of this season. I want her and Ariel to come back together. Belle runs into Rumple and they can be together and she can help him.

My headcanon is that Ariel and Belle come through in 307

308 is a Rumple and Pan story and by the end Belle has found Rumple and helping him through his childhood trauma.

310 the entire family is back together and goes to fight PP
