RumBelle’s angst could come from Bae. They could’ve had Bae be a bit iffy with Belle since he first met her as Lacey. However Bae seems fine with her, and he and Rumple reunited. The only good thing that could come out of Rumple’s disappearance is that it gives perfect opportunity for Belle/Bae bonding time which is important if Belle and Rumple are going to get married. (Hopefully that is the reason things have been written the way they have). If we’re not shown Bae and Belle bonding, then I will be severely disappointed as it would’ve been a wasted opportunity. I also hope Belle is featured heavily in at least the first three episodes of the second half (since we know 315 is a Belle centric and hopefully Rumple’s return). I had three favourite characters on Once: Belle, Rumple and Felix. With Felix dead and Rumple “lost”, Belle is currently my only favourite character left, if she’s not in the first three episodes that much then I don’t think I’ll enjoy them as much as other episodes.
They could have, or they could have had Rumple and Bae be just a bit strained. I never thought Bae would have an issue with Belle re: Lacey because he only saw her for a few minutes, after which everything blew up. I think the phone call made a bigger impression on him…….Notice how Belle and Bae have been very close to each other in almost every scene? How she’s being overtly affectionate (hand on his arm in that last scene in their shop) with him and Henry, how when they all split up at the cemetary she and Bae looked at each other? I don’t think that’s a coincidence. They both have lost everything in their lives – including the man they loved SOOO deeply. I agree that if we do not see real screen time showing them grieving and bonding, that it will be a shame…and I will be angry. I want it explicitly on screen; I will not be happy with one scene here and then another scene weeks later showing how close they really are so that we’ve missed everything.
Belle is in the first several episodes because Em was filming, but that probably means very little because generally she only gets scattered minutes, lol

Yes, being in the same world is not the same as being together; it’s like me being in NY and my brother being in FL……I just don’t think we’re going to see much Rumbelle……but maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

I just have a sneaking suspicion that they had Gold wear this outfit a day or so later for his “death” scene because they wanted to kill us even more: They wanted him to be wearing the outfit that he wore in this scene, the outfit that Belle helped him on with, that he talked about the future in, to add to the poignancy, of course, because he has no future now and also because it it had such brilliantly hopefuly and happy connotations

Does a day pass though? Because Belle is still wearing her grey jumper and black skirt combo. Also once they find out Pan is in Henry’s body, I doubt they went home and slept and changed clothes. Also some people wear the same thing for a couple of days, suits don’t get washed every single day.

Then we see her in the pink hat with the blazer and the blue sweater that she wears to the town line. The next time we see her, she’s *back* in the grey outfit only with an olive green jacket this time. It’s rather confusing as none of the others appear to have changed clothes.
The change of clothing made no sense, lol
1) Dock clothing: gray/black for Belle
2) Next day, beret outfit (definitely the next day because they were supposed to go to Granny’s party the night before, but after helping him get dressed, they kissed and rightly decided they had better things to do
3) All day in that beret outfit, day concludes at the cemeteray
**THIS is wear it gets confusing because when they all go into the shop it’s nightime. Did it take hours for Gold to come up with a spell to break Henry out of Pan? If not, then why is it day when they leave the shop? The next time we see them all is during Gold’s goodbyes (sob) and “death” scene (No!!)
I agree that people wear things more than once – I do as well – but I doubt that Gold would ever wear the same exact shirt/tie/hanky combo back to back (or within a day or so of each other) or that Belle would either (and we’ve never seen this on the show). It’s not like a week or two passed, it was at most a day…and I do wonder what happened to Belle’s red jacket, lol
I know my theory is heartbreaking, sigh, but what isn’t heartbreaking when it comes to Rumbelle? What Belle wouldn’t have given to have protected his chest from the dagger the way she’s almost protecting it here, feeling his heart beat strongly beneath hers, feeling the warmth of his body beneath her fingers and the shirt.The kiss ,the way they are clinging to each other’s necks……..I can’t look at this scene the same since the winter finale

That’s why I like your theory the best. Rumbelle is just ANGST all the time and so the clothing is just more “here, let us kill you all with things”
