I was disappointed in Rumple as well, but not for killing Zelena. She killed Neal so I don’t care basically lol. But I was disappointed that he made Belle believe she had the dagger.
However I don’t think anyone should give up hope for them. We’ve just been renewed for season 4 which means the story isn’t over yet! If this was the series finale then I’d be pissed that they did this to Rumbelle. But they can’t wrap up their storyline in season 3, or else what else is there to tell about them? Sure seeing Rumbelle babies and married bliss would be nice, but not for two or three more seasons – that would be a bit boring.
I like that Rumple still has his dark side, it’s what made me love him in the first place. He’s bad***. He’s a hero AND a villain, he’s tormented and torn all the time and I love it. Same with Regina – she’s going to revert again as well. These two characters are not meant to completely transform and be good and all is well. That’s why they’re so many people’s favorites, they’re so complicated.
I definitely want Belle to call Rumple out for what he’s done, but I hope it doesn’t turn into a separation again. And I’m not viewing this as the last straw for Rumbelle. The story isn’t over yet guys! It’s going to be rocky but if it wasn’t then we wouldn’t care as much and it would just be boring.

If Belle doesn’t break up with him to show him that there are consequences to KILLING SOMEONE after you’ve made all these grand speeches about being stronger and wanting to get back to the best version of himself—then I’m going to loose a lot of respect for Belle. Because it would mean that she’s just a doormat who can’t tell right from wrong. All the criticism hurled at Rumbelle would 100% true.
This is to say nothing of the fact that A and E CLEARLY have NO IDEA how to write for them and have no idea how to write for Rumple where he’s not the Dark One. They find Human Rumple boring.
Rumple killed Pan right after the “you made me stronger” speech. Belle didn’t mind then beyond the problem that Rumple died as well. When Rumple and Charmings were going to release Pan out of Pandora’s box, over the town line where he couldn’t use magic and shoot him with a gun, Belle didn’t mind then.
I don’t think the issue is that Rumple killed Zelena, the issue is that Rumple lied to Belle in order to do it. Belle should call him out on that, make him earn her forgiveness, but RumBelle don’t need to break up in order for that to happen.

I don’t have a problem with Zelena dying; it’s that he lied and tricked Belle.

There’s only so many times you can forgive a person before you realize, there’s some things you can’t come back from that could seriously damage a relationship.

All of it reminded me of when Rumple killed the must maid. It was the final straw for Bae, he looked for a way out. To get his Papa back, he called the BF to find where he might go and have his father be free of his curse.
I think killing Zelena is going to require more than a pot of tea and some talking. If Rumple ever hopes to be the best version of himself, then I think we’re looking at a separation again. So long as he thinks he can murder can still get to his his lady love, there is no hope for him

Belle said to Neal that she loves Rumple “All of him. Even the parts that belong to the darkness”. This was just one of the dark parts of Rumple. I think Belle would be more disappointed that Rumple lied to her rather than killed Zelena. Every time we’ve seen Belle walk out on Rumple in the past (Skin Deep, Broken, The Crocodile) It’s been because Rumple has lied to her. That’s the issue for Belle, she doesn’t like him lying to her.
However, Rumple has just gone through a traumatic event, he’s lost his son, and Belle knows that Rumple does genuinely love her. So whilst she may call him out on his actions, I don’t think she’d just walk out on him, at least not completely.

Keeper of FelixI’d like to see something more than just another breakup, but yes there should be consequences. I’d like to see Belle actually working to stop something bad Rumple’s attempting. Like she did with Robin Hood. For example, if Rumple jumped into the new time portal to try to save Bae, risking anyone who got in his way in past or future, I’d like to see her jump in after him and actively attempt to stop him. I just…want more from her than walking out with her sad/angry look again. Just new ground for their characters to cover, I guess.
