I’m anxious to learn more about Belle’s Storybrooke persona. What is her name? What’s her personality like? Is she really crazy? Does she remember Fairytale land? Ugh! The finale cannot get here fast enough!
Me too. There’s so many unanswered questions about Belle. She’s becoming more of an enigma than Mr. Gold! 😮
Yes, I believe Belle is a key to Rumple/ Mr. Gold. Up until now he really has had no weakness as Rumple or Mr. Gold whether he was in jail or not. He has only acted in rage and irrationally when it concerned Belle/ whatever her Storybrooke name is. She is an important side character who may become a regular character. I hope she does become a regular. I’ve always liked the actress who plays her in every role she has done. Her Lost character was one of the most interesting ones.

An Empty Heart, those are the very questions I ask myself. We all really do not know; on all accounts. The only Storybrooke version od Belle was when Regina visited her and all she did was look up and said absolutely nothing. There was also no mention of her in any form, nor acknowledgement. She only responded to the opening of the feed slot of her cell and all she did was look up. The is the 64,000 question of season one. If and I say if her name is the same I can say or we can say that she knows everything. Otherwise she may not. Every character who has a fairy tale name that was the same as their Storyvrooke name does know everything. Do not be fooled by Rumple because he only keeps the name Mr. Gold for whatever reason he has which is known only to him. It also took many episodes for Regina to confront and ask him of that. Belle is one of the major mysteries of the season. The others I’d say are: the fate of Baelfire, who August is, the Queen of Heart, Jefferson, what Cora deal is and how if any connection she has to Rumple and of course what is the deal with Prince “not so Charming” David??
I completely agree. That’s why I’m so excited to finally learn about Belle. The writers have been keeping her locked away all season. They’re keeping her hidden for a reason and I think we’re going to find out in the season finale.

Emilie was phenomenal in Lost! 😀
Belle being Mr. Gold’s only weakness is what makes her so vital to the story. A good portion of the story all hinges on Mr. Gold’s mental stability. And if that faulters, then we’re all in trouble. 😯 😯 😯
Rumpel is the Dark One, he created the curse, he controls everything in Storybrooke. So, having someone as powerful as that be brought down all because of the love of a woman is going to be a very interesting and tragic thing to see.

Anyways, she is Rumple’s kryptonite if I can use a Superman reference. Belle, i believe is the key to not only Rumple but his downfall. she can make him either win or lose the battle between Rumple/ Mr. Gold and Queen Regina/ Mayor Regina batlle. Absolutely!

It’s because we were twins separated at birth. 😆
I also believe that Belle is the key to Mr. Gold’s victory or defeat. I’m just curious to find out how Emma will factor into all of this. Mr. Gold is still holding that favor over her head, so I reckon it’ll be about Belle.

No real major moves are really being made right now—-phase 2 an un-named phase. Phase 2 and 3 all moves and positioning will happen. Phase 4 & 5 are the endgame and checkmate phases. Then winner takes all……..a happy ending>

Hmm, I’m really liking your version of chess right now. 😆 I’m anxious to see what phases 2 and 3 entail. I have a feeling the curse will be broken at the end of season 3 and then the next three seasons will revolve around the characters tryingt o get back to Storybrooke.
Yes, I am obsessed with Lost. 😆

Phases 2 and 3 are all of moves and positioning. Taking of pieces. Most of the dissappoint happens here. Oh….I lost my queen or knight!! Most of the upsets, untimely departures. Ends of minor stories and eliminations of minor character. Those moves and positions sets up the endgame and checkmate phases.
April 18, 2012 at 1:34 pm #142766lissyParticipantSo I was watching Beauty and the Beast a few days ago, and I realized another connection between the two shows. Gaston threatened to send Belle’s fathers away to a mental institution (because no one believed he saw the beast) if Belle did not agree to marry him. I thought it was interesting OUAT tied in this story line by having Belle locked in the institution for unfair reasons. Did anyone else notice this?
