Here here! Those uggo white shoes really stood out to me, although I understood why she was wearing them. Maybe she and Ruby can go shoe shopping when she gets back to town.
As for Belle v. Bae, I agree with the general sentiment that loving both of them is certainly possible and natural. It is more a question of having both of them. When Rumpel told Belle “My power means more to me than you,” I think he was holding onto his power because he needed it to get back to his son, not as an end in itself. If Mr. Gold was being honest with Archie (and no reason to think he would lie at that point), then this had been his all-consuming goal for several hundred years. No surprise that he freaked out when he felt that power (i.e. means to find his son) being threatened.
I hope that now Rumpelstiltskin with be honest with Belle and explain to her why he rejected her. If she truly loves him, she will support his efforts. It would be a cold-hearted woman to demand that a man abandon his child in order to be with her. Does this mean they can be together but just can’t kiss? That would be a little weird, but not impossible.

Maybe that will be Gold’s first act of magic, a quick makeover from Mr. Rumple’s House of Beauty. (That’s one thing I hope will come back, Rumple’s fashion sense. So courageous, so gallant, so rock & roll.)

A sharply dressed man is a sight to behold and I hope we don’t have to give up the suits. The man even wore one for digging in the dirt in the middle of the woods.

Right? I love his suits. 😀 I’m actually quite anxious to see how Mr. Gold will manage to pull off doing Rumpel’s spells and antics. Even though it’s the same person, they both seem so different.

Rumple’s suits are wonderful, I agree. I hope he still wears them in SB. But I gotta say…those leather pants are wonderful as well. 😉 😯

he can wear leather pants better than prince charming 😉
May 19, 2012 at 2:14 am #147293JosephineParticipantHe does fit nicely into a pair of leather pants, but outside of a rock concert, fairytale land, or a gay bar, I can’t see Mr. Gold opting for the leather pants.
How did we get to becoming obsessed with Rumple/Gold’s pants. 😆 Of course, I could make a comment to tie everything back to the title of this thread, but I’ll keep the thoughts to myself. 😈

She kept asking Rumple to tell her about his son so I would bet that she would be supportive of him in his quest to find Bae – but I don’t think she will be accepting of his methods if they hurt people. The writers could take their conflict to where Belle tries to show Rumple how he can use his magic in a constructive way to find Bae, however after all those years of competing with Regina and making deals with people that were less than stellar that isn’t going to be natural for him.
On the other hand, Rumple put Belle on a pedestal (literally put her on a pedestal via the teacup) and maybe we have too. The writers have always shown us unexpected and surprising sides of the fairy tale characters we thought we knew, so maybe they will surprise us with Belle too and show us a side of her we aren’t expecting. Maybe she will be so mad at Regina for tricking her and locking her up in both FTL and SB that she will “take Rumple’s side” in their power struggle and won’t have a problem with how he handles things.

I noticed a bit of venom in her voice when she told Gold that Regina had locked her up. I suspect that Belle is not the same person she was before she was imprisoned. I would imagine that being unjustly locked up for at least 28 years (plus however long she was imprisoned in FTL before the curse) would change a person. And while I don’t think she has transformed into evil Belle, she is in the perfect position to become the axis of righteous rage (similar to the Count of Monte Cristo) in the storyline.

I read similar posts on other sites. A lot of them think imprisonment has really screwed up Belle. Some say she may become more darker and evil now although I really hope that doesnt happen. She was always sweet and caring and kind. I would hate to lose that part of her personality. -
