I disagree. I think that there are a lot of people that hated Rumpel being the Beast and being with Belle. There are a lot of people that liked it, but there are a lot of people who didn’t. And that is on multiple sites. Whenever it is brought up there are all these people that really like it and there are these people that seem disgusted by it. It seems fairly even to me, but who knows.

IWhere did you hear that she will be back in Season 2?
I heard that rumor from somewhere too. I’m not sure where though. I’ll try to search for the link.
I hope it’s true. I really like Belle and we’ve yet to really delve into Belle’s character. We’re nearing the end of the season and the show still hasn’t addressed the fact that she’s still alive and in an asylum. If they haven’t addressed it by now, then something tells me that her storyline is going to spill over into season 2.

I think a lot of people like Snow and Charming being together, but no one is surprised by that, but i think that they are surprised that people like Rumpel and Belle so much because it is Rumpel and the actor is surprised because i am sure it is a little weird to be famous.

Would it be strange to say that Belle is my favorite female character? 😆 She’s only been in 2 episodes, but I already adore her. Personally, I don’t think Belle is intimately involved with the curse, but I do think that Rumpel’s obsession with bottling true love stemmed from his time with Belle. Ever since her death, he’s probably been obsessed with the idea of true love. I could honestly see him using the potion for a number of differemnt things: Making the curse, breaking the curse, or even for himself.
Anyhoo…
I can’t wait to see Belle again, and I hope those rumors of Belle appearing season 2 are true.
Bye! 😀

P.S. I love your username. 😀
And no, you’re not crazy for loving Belle. I love her too. 😀
And I agree that Belle isn’t directly connected to the curse, but I do like your theory that Rumpel became obsessed with bottling true love after Belle’s supposed “death.” It makes sense. If Mr. Gold was willing to murder a man over a chipped cup, it wouldn’t be too far of a stretch to assume that he’s also created spells inspried by her.

The season is nearing its end and we still don’t have very many answers regarding Belle. So, I aspect her storyline to transfer into season 2. For how long? I’m not sure. These are the Lost writers after all, and they have a habbit of killing off popular characters. So, I’ll be a nervous reck from here on out. 😆

Which will make things interesting when Mr Gold finds out she’s alive, because he’s been very patient for several decades, waiting for events to play out to his advantage and Belle being in Storybrooke wasn’t a factor he’d considered in his plan, so that’ll come outta left field and totally throw him off.

I’m anxious to see Mr. Gold’s reaction too. That is one episode I am eagerly anticipating! So far, he seems to be the puppet master of Fairytale land as well as Storybrook. So, seeing him react to a situation that it out of his control will be very interesting.
March 24, 2012 at 8:31 am #139608PheeParticipantExactly! He’s such a pro at manipulating everyone, he even knows how to play Regina. So to see the tables turned and have HIM being the one who has been played in such a big way is gonna be fascinating. Can’t wait to see how he deals with it.

Actually, if you surf the entire fandom, you’ll find that Rumpel and Belle are EXTREMELY popular. Robert Carlyle even commented on it in a recent interview. He talks about the fan’s response towards the end of the video.

The only people who don’t seem to like it are those who ship Rumpel with Emma or those who never really liked Rumpel to begin with. It’s kind of difficult to estimate the level of popularity of certain characters with just one site.
I think it’s more than that actually. I read on a separate forum that one of the primary reasons they didn’t like the pairing goes back to the Stockholme syndrome. But Belle explained that, if she’s never going to be able to know anyone else, why not him? That was even addressed in the episode when Regina met Belle on the road. So I can understand why some people might have been irked by the pairing.
But thank goodness OUAT is the type of fandom where 😈 ‘shipper wars DON’T exist. I hope it stays that way for a long time. 😀
