Thank God the writers gave Belle a friend. After she left Mr. Gold, I was worried that she would be alone for the rest of the season. So, it’s nice to see her connecting with other people.

I think the writers mostly made Ruby and belle friend because when Snow will be back there will be a lot of things to put in order (the daughter is the same age as her… her husband who she has not been with in 28 years etc…) Making ruby just the best friend waiting on the sideline waiting for Snow to wanna spend some time with her would have made her appear a tiny little bit pathetic. Now she is heping someone else putting her somewhat in a position of power.

Good point. Having Ruby just wait around for Snow to return would have weakened her character a bit. But she has been quite useful in Snow’s absence. She was very helpful to Charming in “We Are Both.” So, her new friendship with Belle is just an added bonus. 😀

I can’t wait to see Belle’s first character centric episode. I hear it’s going to be episode 2×11.

I’m relieved that Belle has found a friend in Ruby too. Now that she’s taking a breather from Mr. Gold, it’ll be nice for her to have another girl her age to confide in. Plus, they can bond over their mutual experiences of being chased by the Evil Queen. See? So much fun! 😆

This episode has me nervous.
It appears that Hook and Cora have finally made it to Storybrooke, and I'm worried that Belle will become their new target. Rumpel can defend himself, but if he lets Belle out of his sight for a second, she may be in danger. I would advise Belle to get kick boxing lessons from Snow, but Cora deals in magic, so even Snow wouldn't be able to fight against her.

Oh no. The idea of Hook or Cora getting their hands on my Belle is my worst nightmare. 😥
